I followed measuring and mixing directions from the container. I stirred with a spoon, used a small whisk, did some preliminary mashing of lumps before adding the rest of the water.
Finally, I followed my husband's example and used the blender. Rather than using the blender's pitcher I substituted a one-pint mason jar for the mix. Wonderful results: no lumps, smooth and creamy mixture. Even seemed to taste better.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
