I found the BetterHelp platform after discussing with my local counselor the need for additional self-care help, mentoring, coaching, and counseling beyond what was available in my community. If you are from a rural community then you certainly understand the lack of mental health resources and availability. BetterHelp has been exactly what I needed to supplement my local counseling. The features on the site are well designed and polished from the journal, to the counselor matching, to the many ways that I decide how I want to communicate with my online counselor. I am grateful this service and platform are available and it has been very helpful for me.
