    Nutra Thrive

    Made my dog very sick - required emergency intervention

    Overall Experience:

    I tried this product a month ago after reading all of the great reviews. After about a week on the product, my dog began scratching persistently, rubbing on furniture, and shaking his head. I didn't suspect the Nutra Thrive, and gave my dog a bath. The bath did not relieve the itching. After three days, the symptoms were so severe, he wasn't eating or sleeping. I took him to my veterinarian who's seen my dog for six years, and I brought the Nutra Thrive with me. Nothing in the environment or his food was changed, except for the Nutra Thrive. When I showed it to my veterinarian, he told me to immediately discontinue use. Luckily, my dog is ok now.

    Imagine my surprise when I received an email informing me that another shipment was on the way. I didn't order any, and still have two unopened jars at home. Additionally, I don't even live at the address they're shipping the product to. So, I called customer service. When I said I didn't order the product and they had no right to charge my bank account, they hung up on me - twice! Finally after the third call, a very nice gentleman looked into it and apologized.

    He explained that when I placed my first order, I "subscribed" to a monthly delivery and that's why I'm receiving another shipment. He emailed a return form to me so I can ship the product back to them - from an address I don't live at.

    The USPS tracking number provided in the email showed that the package hadn't even been scanned by USPS yet, meaning it was still in their warehouse. He said he'd try to get a pre-ship cancellation and refund my money.

    My bank told me about this type of scam in the past. They see this all the time. Companies will put in the fine print that you're subscribing to something and you end up with monthly charges on your account.

    Be very careful and check with your veterinarian prior to ordering anything from this company. Make sure that when you do order something, that you're not being tricked into a monthly subscription, also.

    Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
