    11-18-19 Update

    Overall Experience:

    Changed my recommendation to a no because I'm trying to get my retainers and twice I ordered them online and they never went through so I had to call and order them. Then I get an email saying I'll get my retainers in 2-3 weeks but now it's been a month and still nothing. I contacted them and they say they sent a request to see where my order is but it's going to take 3-5 business days just to get a response. Are you kidding me? My aligners they tell you to keep wearing until you get your retainers are again breaking! I don't know what happened to this company because everything seemed to be going smoothly at first but not anymore, this is ridiculous. Try another invisible aligner service because they don't know what they're doing here.

    Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Would have been 5 stars but...

    Everything started out great, I did the at home impressions and once I sent them back I got a response fairly quickly that I was approved for treatment and that they were making my aligners. What they don't tell you is that the process for them to make the aligners and for them to finally get to you takes a month so be prepared for that. During the 6-month treatment the only real complaints I had were some of the aligner edges were so sharp they would cut into my gums or rub on the side of my tongue that it hurt to speak. It wasn't until I was almost finished that I had the idea to take a nail file and file down the edges so problem solved no big deal.

    At the end of my treatment I noticed that the teeth on the top left side weren't as straight as the right and my canine still stuck out slightly. I contacted SDC and was approved for a re-evaluation and new aligners to fix the problem. I had a choice of doing the at home impressions again or going to the SDC office where they scan your teeth so I decided to go in person thinking maybe the impressions weren't as accurate since I had to get new aligners. So I drove 45 minutes, got my teeth scanned and they said I would get an email when they shipped and I should have them in a month and to keep wearing the last set of aligners until I get my new ones. Well, this is where it gets fun.

    I waited a month, no email and no aligners. The first time I contacted them I was told they would be there by the end of the week. The end of the week came and nothing. I called again I was told there was a mistake and they never put the order in. Yeah. To make a very long and frustrating story short, I had to call them 3 different times after that because every time I called I was being told something different and that I would be getting a confirmation email that I never did and that they would try to expedite the order. It wasn't until the last time I called I finally got someone who actually did something, she gave me a confirmation email and got my aligners pushed to first in line and I would finally get them in a week. Now through this whole month and a half I'm still wearing those last set of aligners which were falling apart at that point, the bottom set nearly split in half. But I did get my new set and it was only a 2-month plan that I'm a day from finishing.

    So to conclude, did they straighten my teeth? Yes. Is it as perfect as braces would have given me? No. But I am happy with my results even after all the headache. So be prepared for anything.

      Thanks for leaving us a review, Jessica. All initial aligner orders should take 3-4 weeks to be delivered and refinement aligners should be about the same. We have experienced some delays, but have been working hard to resolve these issues, so we can prevent them in the future.
