    Nutra Thrive

Do not buy, expired and in #1 plastic...

    Overall Experience:

Do not buy the product, expired, and due to the container they put it in, #1 plastic, the supplement has chemicals leaching into the supplement daily...the plastic leaches carcinogens into the supplement which causes cancer and other health conditions. I called the company 3 times trying to get a not expired product. They sent 3 shipments of Nutra Thrive, all expired products. And now refuses to send me a fresh batch. Expired dates of what I received 3 containers each order. Mgf dates.

1/30/2019 - First order, I called with the #1 plastic concern and expired product. They said oh no, shelf life is 12 months, we will send you a fresh batch and report #1 plastic...well, next two orders were more expired (1/28/2018, 1/27/2018).

And now they say oh, we extended the shelf life, now it's 18 months and I can use the one dated 1/30/2019...

Not true, they can't just extend shelf life on an old product, especially in a toxic #1 plastic. This company is making our pets sick...I like to shove this stuff down their throat every day...

Why do people put a good product in a #1 plastic container that is toxic? And sell expired crap?

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Company Response from Ultimate Pet Nutrition

Hi Sandy, I'm Shayne from Ultimate Pet Nutrition. At Ultimate Pet Nutrition, we have established a Potency Validation Date procedure that begins at the time of manufacturing. All formulas are tested for potency, quality, and safety before they are accepted into our warehouses. We also send that same product to a third-party laboratory to further validate the previous finished product test results. A Potency Validation Date is a date we set to test the product to ensure the potency of the product is maintained over time. Developing a Potency Validation Date or “PVD” involves having a thorough understanding of the ingredients in the formula, what delivery system the product will have, and what type of packaging the product will go in. All these factors determine how the potency of the formula, as reported on the label, will sustain over time. Potency Validation Dating involves several rounds of finished product testing to ensure that our customers are getting a quality and effective product that has accurate potencies stated on the label. We would never make a product that we didn't wholeheartedly believe in and I'm really sorry to hear that you had to go through this frustrating experience. I have noted your concerns and we'll do our best to implement necessary changes to make sure this doesn't happen again. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me at Shayne@ultimatepetnutrition.com if you have any future concerns.
