I actually found out about BetterHelp through a fellow employee at work, as it is a service offered through my company. My fellow employee spoke highly of it, so I decided to give it a try.
I previously had been to several counselors in person, but the counselor I was paired with on BetterHelp did live video chat which was so convenient for me because I could do the sessions during my lunch hour at work.
The app is super user-friendly and has so many great features like a journal, instant messenger chat with your counselor, and a resources/worksheets section. This makes counseling so much easier because everything you need is right there and easy to use, especially the chat. I am not always able to think of or consolidate everything from my week into counseling sessions, so the 24/7 access to the chat room allows me to communicate things to my counselor I may have forgotten or something important right after it happens.
I always felt like I was being taken care of and like my feedback was important. In addition, my counselor was great and I feel that if I need to go back at any time I can and will.
