My friend had her birthday on May 9th, 2020, just as the lockdown for the COVID-19 pandemic was gearing up. Money was tight and she could no longer afford to pay her cable bill.
The perfect gift I thought would be a really good TV antenna so that she could continue to watch TV and it would be for FREE.
The antenna arrived just a few days before her birthday, and just as the cable was about to be disconnected.
We got right to setting the antenna up which only took a few minutes following the simple instructions. To our surprise, we were able to get 43 channels for her to watch. Some of them were her favorite ones too (she is a crime drama buff) so she was delighted.
She says that she is so pleased with her gift that she hasn't missed the expensive cable, and is saving about $60.00 a month now by not having it.
So I guess you could say that my gift just keeps on giving!
