Prior to BetterHelp.com, I was a mess. The pandemic had caused everything I fear or dislike to literally implode on me. Looking around I was alone, for days! I am thankful for a friend who suggested I talk to someone. I stumbled upon BetterHelp on Facebook. I was having another anxiety-ridden evening, knowing night time was coming and that’s when I felt the most fear. Thankfully I got connected to Jean. She was quick to respond and set up a virtual meeting. I specifically asked for a Christian counselor. This was the best decision I ever made during this horrible time. Fast forward a month and a half, I have reconnected with old friends. I have faced my mistakes and taken responsibility. I have started praying more and practicing the fruits of the spirit. I have started playing piano again and singing. I feel joy when I wake up instead of dread and loneliness. At night, when I can’t sleep, I talk to some of my best friends from college, about life. I have also stepped away from toxic relationships. I’m not perfect or healed but I am definitely better.
