    Pathetic customer service

    This review is strictly about a recent customer service experience with a supervisor named Pablo. It concerns lab tests only, not products. Other reps have been okay, but lack either knowledge or authority to finalize some decisions about refunds.

    LEF offers a variety of discounts at different times, so that when one orders tests and subsequently cancels them, or substitutes different test, the calculations of refunds becomes a major effort there.

    I had to be transferred to this supervisor after a long wait. After a long discussion, we arrived at a suitable credit of some $101 which could not be refunded via PayPal in total.

    Today, I called to order tests and make use of that refund, but they only had about $77 listed instead of $101. Eventually, Pablo came to the phone and denied the entire previous conversation, said he had no recollection of it and no recording of it. In effect, he was calling me a liar, as they are supposed to record all such calls.

    This company wants to sacrifice customer goodwill AND future business over a trivial sum that will be dwarfed by future lost business with me, and maybe with others as a result of this review. That is just stupidity. Stay away, buy your tests someplace else even if it costs more.
