Unlike other IJL dates, I was getting ready to go in, from my car, convertible top down, when D walked by. I called his name while finishing my last-minute make-up session, and he surprisingly knew it was me, from the photos. Great icebreaker! He opened my car door, then we had old fashions, talked, ate dinner, mostly laughed, and even played Pickleball on the sidewalk. Then, we left to a riverfront band and danced the night away.
