    TAPfit

    Happy tapper

    • Length of Use: Less than 3 months
    Overall Experience:

For me, this was a good purchase in spite of the expense. I took dance lessons, including tap, as a child so maybe that helped. Last year I tried to learn tap dancing from YouTube videos. I used smooth-soled tennis shoes. It wasn’t satisfying at all without the taps.

With TAPfit, I enjoy the lessons and look forward to tapping. I’ve followed plenty of exercise programs but never stuck with it for more than a couple of weeks because they weren’t fun. As I’ve gotten older my balance has deteriorated and I’m sure TAPfit will help that, so even if I don’t lose weight I’ll be in better shape. I can already tell my legs are stronger and I move easier.

I do have one complaint. My tap shoes curve up at the front like elf shoes so the front tap doesn’t hit the floor always, especially with heel-toe. I don’t know what I can do to fix this.

Overall I am having fun with the TAPfit system and highly recommend it as a way to get in better shape.

    Pros and Cons:

    • Easy to use
    • Fun way to exercise
    • Not difficult to learn
    • The mat doesn’t work as well on carpet so that limits where I can tap
    • The front “tap” doesn’t touch the floor during heel-toe

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
