After being a skeptic about therapy for years and experiencing not-so-great therapists in the past, I thought the BetterHelp app would be no different from what I'd already been through. I can gratefully admit I was wrong!
I never expected to be comfortable doing therapy online, especially not in group sessions, but my whole experience with BetterHelp has been mainly good. The sense of relief after joining a group session feels nice. I no longer hesitate to join in and to others experiencing similar concerns, I don't feel as unrelatable as I did before. I use to feel as if no one would ever understand me.
Talking with Dr. Moran during our private sessions is always a fresh breath of relief. She is so easygoing, responsive, realistic, and has great active listening skills. Having a therapist that doesn't make me feel judged or pressured is amazing, and Dr. Moran is the best at this!
