    BetterHelp

    BetterHelp is great but…

    • Length of Use: 6–12 months
    Overall Experience:

I absolutely love BetterHelp! I love its services and its benefits and all that it provides. It’s an absolute godsend! The only thing that I would love to change is if they added another tier in their financial payment options. As a college student, my funds are very limited, but I do love therapy, it’s been able to help me keep my head on straight in trying times. BetterHelp is great, but with my financial situation, it wasn’t exactly sustainable long-term. I was on the lowest tier that they offer, $160 a month, and that was still a significant amount. I know that they offer some sort of financial assistance, but not everyone qualifies for that, even though they really need it. So I would hope that they can be able to like find another way for the therapy to be more accessible financially.

Also, I didn’t appreciate that since I was on the lowest tire I saw that for people who paid more it didn’t that they got a little bit better treatment with faster responses and able to schedule more sessions which I guess that to do that for financial reasons to pay, the therapist tend to pay BetterHelp shareholders and executives. It just makes it seem that the people who pay less they’re not as important as the people who pay more.

    Pros and Cons:

    • Therapy was readily available and accessible.
    • I was able to fill out a questionnaire and connected to a great therapist and a quick period of time.
    • Flexibility in scheduling appointments is so great. Especially since I’m a college student, this was so incredibly helpful.
    • I love those able to connect with my therapist directly through my phone sent her a message able to schedule appointments so great that my therapist is so easily accessible.
    • I had to cancel my membership. The lowest here $160 a month is still a financial burden especially since I’m a college student and my finances are very very very limited.
    • I saw that for people who paid more got faster responses and were able to schedule more sessions, the therapist tend to pay BetterHelp shareholders and executives.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
