There is no expiration date on the bottle, and when I called, they could not help me saying it should be on the bottle. It is NOT on the bottle. You never know how long you can keep it.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

There is an MFG date on the bottom of the bottle (manufactured date). We put this date to show our customers exactly when their bottle was made. We guarantee potency of the product for 1 year after that date. Please keep in mind that all probiotics, typically start loosing potency after one year.
