It has been my experience that these "As Seen On TV" items are NEVER what they are cracked up to be. I bought this Copper Chef cookware (one deep and one shallower pan) after being convinced by a grinning, ecstatic-looking chef (Eric Theiss), that cooked food that would just slide right out of the cookware, making it easy to clean. NOT TRUE.

I sprayed a little Pam in the shallow pan when it was heating up, and much to my surprise it turned BLACK and formed a textured film which I have not been able to remove since. I called their 1-800 number for help and was given some cleaning instructions that did not work.

I have made several of that grinning chef's recipes in the deep-pan, which turned out good (as it should have), but in NO CASE did the food slide out of the pan "as seen on TV." Which, I might add, was my reason for ordering this cookware in the first place.

I don't know what is done to these pans to make them appear foolproof, but trust me, they must be doing something to them that they aren't showing viewers on TV. BUYER BEWARE. It has been my experience that nothing "as seen on TV" functions as seen on TV.
