    Quip Toothbrush

Waste of money, time and energy

    Overall Experience:

I ordered this toothbrush with all the same thoughts in mind as the other reviews, and I even recommended it to my sister who bought 2! She ordered it with $10 extra for 2-3 days priority because she was leaving the country and guess what? It's been 4 days and still no toothbrush, and she has left the country! Now they won't even refund the $10 she paid for them to send it to her in 2-3 days.

Bad, false advertising because now they don't want to refund my sister the $10. I will be returning her toothbrushes! I've already complained to the Better Business Bureau!

Now, I got my toothbrush and started using it and wow, what a BAD toothbrush. It barely vibrates, and it doesn't remove the stains on my teeth that my own Sonicare removes. I will be returning this and definitely not recommending it to ANYONE! DO NOT BUY unless you want to waste your time and energy and money.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Company Response from Quip NYC Inc.

      Hi Julie,

We are so sorry to hear you had some trouble with your shipment. As we state directly on our shipping page during checkout, priority shipping is an estimate of 2-3 business days. This is also included on our help page which is available both before and after ordering.

We can see you had placed your order the Sunday before Columbus Day which is a postal holiday so your order was picked up on the first business day back (Tuesday). We, unfortunately, cannot control the end delivery time as this will rely on the shipping carrier directly. We can also see that our help team refunded your $10 priority shipping for you because your package had arrived on the fourth business day.

Regarding the vibrations of Quip, unfortunately, there are many misconceptions in oral care that we are trying to correct. One of the worst is “the more power, the better the clean”. There is actually no difference in how well a toothbrush can clean your teeth between a manual, gently vibrating, vigorously vibrating or rotating toothbrush if they are all being used correctly and have soft bristles.

As we mention on our website and in our welcome materials, the key to maintaining good oral health is solely based on your technique, routine and electric brushes are recommended by dentists because they help encourage and guide better brushing.

We certainly cannot speak to personal preference, as the best brush for you is one that encourages you to brush two times a day, for a full two minutes with fresh soft bristles.

We are sorry to hear that Quip didn't work out for you, and thank you for giving it a try.
