Starting in October 2016, I went through a period of having a staph infection in my hip that required intravenous antibiotics for 3 months. During that time, I also had 2 hip surgeries to help eliminate the infection. After the infection was gone, I had a third surgery for a hip replacement.
The antibiotics caused moderate hair loss on the crown and back of my head. In April 2017 at the suggestion of my hairdresser, I began using the Keranique program of 4 products (shampoo, conditioner, mousse spray, and the Minox hair growth pump).
My hair is beginning to look and feel nearly as thick as it was before my illness. With the slow pace of normal hair growth, the hair that I've gained from using Keranique for only 7 months may not be much longer than an inch or so. But, I think that the new short hair on my scalp is "propping up" the longer hair at the roots to give my hair the look and feel of more volume.
I am very pleased so far with Keranique and recommend it to anyone who needs to replace hair loss.
