    Carvana

    Updated review

    Update

    Overall Experience:

My fourth car was delivered today and contained two very noticeable dents on the passenger side that were not notated on the photos of the car, so now I have to wait 48 hours for someone to contact me so those dents can be fixed.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

      Company Response from Carvana

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with Carvana. At Carvana, we want to make the purchase of a vehicle an easy and seamless process from start to finish. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the online process of financing a vehicle but regret that the vehicles that have been delivered were not exceptional. All of the vehicles in our inventory are used vehicles, so there will be standard wear associated with normal vehicle usage. We do notate the most prominent features and imperfections as we want to be as transparent as possible. We also offer a complimentary 100-day warranty with all of our vehicles as we do stand behind our vehicles. We sincerely apologize that the vehicles that you have received have fallen short of perfection. We are glad to see that our repair team has reached out to you for a resolution for the cosmetic issues on your vehicle. If you have any questions about the next steps, please contact us at 800-333-4554.

150-point inspection process is a farce

Financing and delivery processes are a breeze, BUT what is delivered is another story.

Car#1: 2016 Jeep Renegade with 8K miles on it. On the fourth day I had the Jeep, it was smoking under the hood. The reason was that the oil cap was not attached and was sitting loose under the hood. The Jeep went back.

Car#2: 2016 Buick Regal. Upon delivery, the vehicle had scratches on it that were not disclosed on the site. Regal was rejected.

Car#3: 2016 Jeep Renegade Trail hawk with 19K miles. The Jeep was delivered to me with coolant filled below the minimum level. I insisted Carvana fill it. The rep wanted to overnight me. I refused and demanded it be filled. A/C was not working. The Jeep was rejected. I was re-contacted by Carvana as they stated the A/C was now working. I drove to the hub to pick up the Jeep.

Upon inspection, we discovered the tire iron and the jack were missing. Carvana ordered them for us.

Next day I was driving home from work, and the check engine light came on, and I called Carvana to tell them. Again, the car was rejected and picked up.

    Car#4: A 2015 Chrysler 200C is being delivered on 01/22/18. So we'll see.

I requested Carvana provide me with an extended warranty, to which Jonathan Greer remarked: "Warranties are expensive."

I was further advised, in print, that this is the last car I am allowed to keep or reject. I did ask Carvana how many cars a customer can keep or reject, and the rep told me on the phone that there was no limit. Hmmm...

Anyway, it is pretty clear to me that these vehicles are not being inspected properly as they are claiming.
