    Wish.com

    Mixed bag

    Overall Experience:

THE GOOD: First let me say that I have received numerous refunds from Wish (without the requirement that I return the items) quite easily. I have never had any difficulty with customer service.

Secondly, they have an amazing variety of things; most I have never ever heard of, let alone considered needing.

THE BAD: Quality. Many items appear as Dollar-Store junk.

Accuracy in advertising. Items are often advertised falsely. For example, it may be advertised as "150 item set" for X dollars. However, in the fine print, it may be only 10 item set for X dollars, and the 150 item set advertised actually costs way more.

(Oh, we've all seen the boldly touted "150 COLOR MARKING PENS" header, but WAY at the bottom of the small print they whisper "it's only one pen, and we send you whatever color WE want to send you. Yeah, I got bit by that one...). Or they will advertise $2 shipping, but because of the size, color, or other specification you selected, may turn into $8 shipping. You gotta watch the cart because they don't just TELL YOU this!

Accuracy between pictures/descriptions and actual items sent. Yeah, don't count on it! And it's not just because most of us are not gorgeous emaciated Chinese models that these things don't look the same on us; it's different fabrics, different colors, different patterns, and often two different sleeves on the same dress.

Accuracy in shipping. My all-time worst peeve about Wish. Yes, I know most things are sent from China, and I know that takes time. But for crying out loud, the order sits in "processing" for a week or so, another week getting to the border of China, and then...off into a black hole! After which one sits patiently waiting as the Progress Bar inches toward "ALMOST THERE!" while the tracking fell off at the border. I guess it's no wonder the estimated delivery date keeps getting pushed farther out, because nobody...anywhere...knows where your stuff is, or if you will ever get it.

Which leads to my final complaint; delivery. It's a crapshoot. Maybe you'll get it, maybe you won't. While I had no trouble getting refunds for the 3 items that never arrived, it's a royal pain in the arse to wait patiently for 2 or 3 months for a no-show item, and then to be cordially invited to reorder and wait another 2 or 3 months in a potentially never-ending cycle.

So I guess my advice boils down to this: I WISH I actually got what I ordered, when it was promised, and in the condition it was promised.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
