I purchased a trial and had the socks for about a week when one got a hole. I called and got no help from the company. I tried another from Macy's today and got a leather bracelet. That was 5 hours ago...it fell apart a few minutes ago. High priced junk.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
