I was the queen of chapped lips and president of the "carry-your-lip-balm-with-you-wherever-you-go" club! I had lip balms all over the house (bathroom, bedroom, family room, etc.) and in EVERY SINGLE purse. When the new "crystal" lip balms came into the market, I rushed to buy them by the dozen (literally!) because I was SO tired of the waxy kind that left a disgusting crusty film in the corners of your mouth.
