I love BOD. I actually signed up just to do Tony Hortons exercises, I was a big fan of his back in the day, but I like a lot of the other trainers on BOD as well. Something I thought that was awkward was reviewers claiming that some programs are almost completely interchangeable. I found this weird and confusing. I am not talking about exercises like jump and jacks, push-ups, or running in place/high knees, I mean some weird exercises that I personally find to be not that effective but almost every trainer does them. I am assuming they initially had a hit show and decided to do a "spin-off" series that is pretty much the same thing like what TV shows Law and Order and CSI did.
Now another gripe I hear from people who do a lot of home workouts is the "cheerleading" going on in the background. I noticed with older vids the background staff were mostly just stiff, almost robotic, completely fit, and had almost perfect form, where now they have a lot of backdrop staff that is completely out of shape or annoying. They have annoying conversations going on because it's supposed to be like a family, "we are all in this together" atmosphere, but it just comes off too forced or contrived.
On the positive side, the workouts are challenging and if you can stick with it every day you will get great results. They also have programs that range from beginner to advanced. The production quality is also superb. The trainers are good at coaching and are very fit. Overall I am impressed with the program.
