    Quip Toothbrush

    Good report from my Hygienist

    Overall Experience:

I’ve had my Quip for two weeks. I had my teeth cleaned today and didn’t mention to my dental hygienist that I switched from a manual toothbrush to the Quip because I didn’t think I’d been using it long enough to make a difference. She commented that my gums were better! With the manual toothbrush, I would rub my gums too hard. I tried other battery toothbrushes, but because of how large they were in my hand yet lightweight, I still scrubbed too hard and was damaging my gums and teeth.

The Quip is well balanced and fits well in my hand in a way that allows me to just hold it and let the Quip do all the work. The timer is a feature I hadn’t used before, and I find it very helpful. I am more mindful about brushing because I’m waiting to feel the 39-second pulse that reminds me to switch quadrants. I think this is also helping me not to brush too hard.

I love the taste of the toothpaste. You use a small amount, and there is a picture on the tube showing how much to use. The toothpaste has a mild flavor, which I appreciate. The holder that comes with the Quip actually sticks to my mirror. I didn’t expect this feature to work because it seems every product I’ve ever bought that is self-sticking loses its grip.

I have seen complaints that the space between the brush and handle get dirty and I know this is the case with other battery toothbrushes, so since it says it’s waterproof, I’ve been rinsing and then drying off the handle after each use. The Quip has made me a better brusher.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
