I received my Quip as a Mother's Day gift (at my request) last May. I didn't start using it until late June but once I did, WOW!
It's elegant in its simplicity.
Quip is slim (I love the look and the feel in my hand). It doesn't have a bulky charging stand taking up space or using an outlet. It has an equally slim holder that sticks to my mirror not taking up any space and because of it's design, is rather discreet. It's easy to use - on or off, those are your choices. When turned on, it gently vibrates, pausing every thirty seconds 3 times (brush my bottom left for 30 seconds, pause, brush my bottom right for thirty seconds, pause and on to the top), so I know when to move on to the next segment of my teeth, then 3 quick pauses and it stops. It has a bumpy surface on the back of the head for "brushing" your tongue. If you are in a hurry, you can stop it mid-cycle. I've never brushed my teeth for the recommended 2 minutes, but Quip makes it easy and it makes me happy to know I'm taking better care of my teeth.
I have several crowns with margins between the bottom of my crown and my gum line. I used to have a really hard time cleaning those areas and had to use my own dental tools and a water flosser to clean out plaque. After using Quip for just 4 months, my teeth are cleaner than they've ever been! I never need those tools anymore to clean plaque or tartar build up.
