I've been through a lot in the past year - depression, a friend's suicide, family drama, a job change, and several deaths. I can't take time off work to see a counselor, and of course, I never know when another hammer is going to drop on my head, so being able to send an email anytime and get a response in less than 24 hours is a godsend. My counselor always has constructive and actionable feedback and doesn't minimize my problems, even when I'm tempted to.
