I bought two on HSN, each handling two computers. I gave one as a gift, kept the other for my two computers, a desktop, and a laptop. I never knew if it was working, takes forever to do the scan, like 8 hours. I go to plug it in and it says my subscription is for two computers, and they detect that I’m using it on a third computer, in violation of terms of service. After a number of frustrating calls, they agreed to expand my subscription to handle three computers. Now I have never used it on any other computer than the same two computers I got it for. I recently plugged it in for a scan, and it’s back to telling me I’ve exceeded the terms of use by using on three computers, apparently making it unusable on either computer, unless I but another subscription! What a surprise! These guys are thieves!
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
