    Hubble Contacts

Good feel, bad for the eyes...

    Overall Experience:

Hubble Contacts fit me perfectly. I did not feel discomfort or dryness when I started wearing them. It was only after I paid a visit to my optometrist that I had any concerns.

You see (no pun intended), I learned from my eye doctor Hubble lenses are made from an outdated material that isn't used in the United States anymore. Why don't they use it anymore? That's because newer materials allow more oxygen to your eye. If you only wear contacts occasionally, it's not a problem. But, after a while, it's not healthy for your eyes.

I'm a person who likes to wear contacts a lot. I don't want to damage my eyes in the long term by wearing Hubbles every day. But, the lenses that allow the most oxygen (ex: Dailies Total 1) are quite expensive. I told my optometrist this and she pointed out that there are daily lenses with newer materials that are less than Hubble. I changed my prescription to Clariti 1 Day. It's cheaper than Hubble and allows more oxygen to my eye.

I'd definitely consider switching back to Hubble if they changed materials. I loved the convenience, price and customer service. However, I just can't sacrifice the health of my eyes.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
