I started my journey on December 4th. A big mistake, too close to the holidays. I did well that first week. I was pumped and ready to go, but then the parties and get-togethers came, office treats, cookie exchanges and baking days. I was doomed. I had no self-control! I gained everything back plus more from my first week in.
At any rate, I continued to open up the Noom app, read it daily, log my food and weigh in daily during this time, because...I don't really know.
Then I went for three days and logged nothing because I was just eating too much! Well surprise, I got a text message from my coach asking me if I was going to do this or not. For some reason that got to me. She told me to just write out one goal and stick to it. The first goal was to drink water before each meal, which I stuck to but still consumed my holiday treats. My coach was proud that I stuck to my goal and ignored my other failures. Next, I set up another goal, pass up the candy dish. Well, I'm happy to say with the motivation from my coach, group and articles from the app. I got right back on track. I now feel confident that I can do this.
Now that the holidays are behind me, I'm happy to say I lost the weight I gained plus an additional 2 pounds since I decided to get serious. I feel like Noom is really working for me and I can't wait to see what the next month brings my way.
