Stunningly bad quality

I just opened my packages from Zulily after patiently waiting three weeks. I had never ordered from them before but was excited to find an alternative to the other online retailers.

I cannot believe the poor quality of the dresses and blouses I ordered. Is this a joke? The garments have no tailoring. The dresses hang on me like sacks, and the blouses are short waisted as well as having no form to them. The dresses are way too large, even though I followed their sizing charts. Worse than K-Mart quality.

Now that I'm reading all the bad reviews on-line, I can see I'm in for a loss. Read the reviews and believe them! I would never order from this retailer again. I'm not sure if I'm even going to bother with the hassle of returning these items. I'm afraid I would just have to pay to replace them with more low-quality items. Hard lesson learned. I'm going back to supporting my local retailers where I can be assured of my purchases at the time of payment.

All messed up

The website is all messed up, and you can't put anything in your basket. Customer service says it's because I don't have an account. Really? Then how come I logged in without any problems? Then they said they would place the order for me. It's been two days of notifying them of my order and have heard nothing back.

The sale ends on July 31st and today is July 30th. Maybe they don't want their customers to order the sale items only the full price items? I can't think of any other reason except their customer service is very inept. I ordered once from Zulily and thought I'd try them again but now, never again. They stink!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Shady business practices like the China companies

The projected shipping date was two weeks after I put in my order and it was past the date I needed the items. I emailed to cancel the order a week before the shipping date. They emailed me back and said it was too late; one email saying they can cancel and to email and confirm the cancellation. I did. Then, another email arrived shortly after saying items had shipped that day, but tracking did not receive the items at FedEx yet. Now, I'm stuck with these items and have to call them when the package arrives (their suggestion).

This is way beyond legitimate business practice and reminds me of Shein.com and other China based companies that send cheap knockoffs if they actually send purchased items. DO NOT buy from them at all, unsavory business practices!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Bogus discounts

I have bought several items from Zulily, but when they had a fur throw on sale for $200, I went on the product website and found the same exact item for $100. I immediately canceled my account with Zulily.

Harassing!

I ordered ONE thing from these harassing people that I had shipped to my job, and they immediately started sending to my workplace their UNAUTHORIZED advertisements! I called them immediately upon receiving the first postcard discount and told them to never, ever send another thing to my job! I was assured it wouldn't happen again. That was months ago, and today another postcard came! I will NOW be filing a legal complaint against this company, as well as take legal action against them!

Horrible quality

Cheap Chinese junk. They don't issue a credit to your card when you return items due to their poor quality, so, yes, it's a scam. What good is a Zulily account credit if the quality is bad?

Fool me once, well, you all know how that goes. Never again!

Burned too many times, no more

Sure, the items are quite cheap on the site, but they are also terrible quality.

With clothing, seams and stitches are off, things are asymmetrical, sizes are WAY off, or it's simply not the product that was described on their site. I recently had to order a dress in 4XL, when I typically wear an XL. I also ordered a dress that arrived with a pen mark on the front of it. I can't stress how low quality the merchandise is. Flimsy materials, cheap construction, etc. I'm positive that their merch must be the "irregular" stuff they sometimes sell for cheap, but this merch is more accurately labeled as "highly irregular AND cheap."

But let's say you hit the jackpot on 20% of items you buy. If that were the case, it might be tolerable if they allowed returns for the other 80% of stuff. But they don't allow any returns. That means I've wasted $10s if not $100s on merchandise I can't return.

Furthermore, the shipping is just awful. I placed an order on 8/25 that I received yesterday on 10/10. I placed another order way in advance, on 9/4, for a Halloween-themed outfit, and now they've "missed their shipping date." I'm not confident it will even arrive in time at this point. Their customer service won't promise a shipping date or that it will arrive in time for Halloween. In fact, in the past three weeks, I've received FOUR notices from them that my orders have missed their promised ship date.

Their customer service seems to be quite responsive to issues, but they are not helpful in solving them. I've finally, finally learned my lesson and will no longer make any purchases from them.

Awful!

Quality of clothing is subpar. Orders take at least one month to get to you so order in advance. I have experienced times when they canceled my order on my behalf because the items were not in stock? They just arbitrarily cancel stuff with no explanation. Don't order from them!

Not worth buying

I bought one of their Azalea brand tunic tops. Very pretty and stylish in the picture. When I got it, so excited to wear it, and it looked good. Then I saw a 2-inch part of the seam on the right back arm was not attached to the back of the shirt. I fixed it myself. Then after wearing it, I washed it. When I took out clothes from the washer, I noticed a long black thread which was coming from the bottom hem of the shirt. At least 3 inches came out. I checked other sides; more very long threads from seam coming out. Not worth the purchase price.

Quality stinks.

I’ve purchased a few shirts from Zulily and the quality is terrible. Very cheap and falls apart after one wash. It also takes 4+ weeks to get your order. Definitely not worth the wait. I also tend to find when I search their shops that by 8 am everything is sold out. Disappointing.

Ripoff

I ordered two tunics and children's boots. I was charged shipping because I canceled the second tunic. So I spent more on shipping than the items cost. I wasn't informed I could be charged shipping when I canceled. I also wasn't informed the tunics come from China and they go through customs, and it takes forever to get them. Shipping status is a joke. No details. Customer service tries to answer questions, but I think they really don't know what's going on. Pitiful company.

Warning: do not get sucked in and watch your credit card carefully for overcharges.
