This stuff is horrid!

By Jo Montagna, Baden, PA, Verified Reviewer

This product is very costly, and it does not work as promised. The woman who created and sells this on TV, Jamie Lima, must have silky smooth, pore less skin, with not a single line or wrinkle. That is the only way this could possibly look good. I got the entire package and tried it AS DIRECTED, and let me tell you, it is horrible. SHE says it is so light you won't even know it's on your skin. LIGHT? It feels like Plaster of Paris on the skin, very heavy, and it smells like it's medicated with Noxzema. It also went into every crack and wrinkle I have, and accentuated them like crazy. It also did NOT cover my Rosacea. All together I give her products a negative zero. It should stop being sold on TV, because it is a scam, as far as I am concerned.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Actual Cost

By Maddy , Albuquerque, NM

The fine print shows that your set is $39.99 x3 payments every 4 weeks. So you're really paying $120.00+ for your initial set of makeup. Then you're signed up for another shipment of makeup every 12 weeks (again at $120). I questioned it once I saw the "free" brush. That brush is about $40 alone, so I knew something wasn't right.

Auto Refill is a Joke

By Kylie Petro, Los Angeles, CA, Verified Reviewer

I never purchase anything based off of an infomercial, but I watched some makeup review videos on IT Cosmetics on YouTube and thought, why not try it. After purchasing the introductory package I thought the makeup was okay, but would not purchase the full package again because there were a few products I did not like. Less than 30 days later, I saw a charge on my credit card for $68.51 (the initial package was around $60). I immediately called and the woman I spoke with was rude and stated that I signed up for auto refill, and that it is on the invoice they sent to me in the first package that states that I need to call to cancel this service. I received no email stating that a package was coming and I would have had no idea if I didn't check my credit card statement. I am completely pissed off because they say ship it back and we will refund the amount of the product but you will have to eat the shipping and returning costs. This is a SCAM, do not buy from them. If you want to try the product, they sell it at Ulta without all the games they play. Completely disappointed in the way their "customer service" handles this problem.

Hidden Charges

By Kim Goldy, Verified Reviewer

I am quite frustrated with this company, and I haven't even received my product. I purchased the full-size five piece kit, paid for it, and was given an order TOTAL of $44.80 that was being charged to my account. Then, they actually charged me $50.14. I called and was told it was the order "tax", even though the tax on my order was already showing up in my TOTAL. I will probably cancel when I call back in the morning, because the person on the phone didn't even know what he was talking about. If the product is as good as the company's word, I don't want it! I order online all of the time, and have NEVER had a company charge me more than my initial TOTAL.

Bye Bye Foundation

By Jani Narducci, Verified Reviewer

Ok, So I purchased the Try IT Now kit with Bye Bye Foundation, in medium shade, always a medium. First off, it's not full coverage makeup. As a matter of fact, the coverage was horrible. How much of this stuff are they putting on in the infomercial? It did not even affect my skin tone or hide imperfections. I am extremely disappointed. As a woman over 50, I need to hide a few things. I don't recommend it if you are looking for a full coverage foundation. You would find a better product in the drug store at a much better price.

Beware

By K. D. , San Diego, CA

First, be careful of the $129.00 total payment, because the $49.00 is just the first payment. I'm African American and the foundation color didn't work at all, it has a ash tone to it. The foundation did not cover my hyper pigmentation. All in all, they say it takes six weeks to return the items, and in that time they still charge you for the items, and keep charging you. You might not get an email back with the return sticker to return the items. Thumbs down from me!

Scam

By E Love, Wisconsin, Verified Reviewer

I carefully examined the website for hidden fees to make sure I would get what they made it sound like i would. I realized that it's an automatic renewal which was inconvenient but somewhat common. So I got to the part where it said trial size or full size (pick which one you want). So I further checked out what the options were and NOWHERE did it say sizes or amounts of product. That was super annoying. But it was clear that the trial size would be sample size (whatever that means, it varies from one company to the next).

Then I realized that the full size was $150. So that was my deciding factor. NO, I don't want to pay over $50. So I selected the trial size. Placed the order. Read my confirmation. It stated that order total was $50. Called after my item shipped to cancel my automatic renewals. They canceled it. Then he said that it looks like I've ordered the full size, so I will still be getting two more charges of $50. So I went back and forth with a supervisor (Christine, #132670).

She reduced my future payment to $25 that I can pay whenever I choose to. She claims no more charges will come to my card. Bottom line: I regret this purchase. I don't recommend it to anyone. I strongly doubt I will purchase another IT cosmetics item again. Solely for this incident. I hold grudges with companies. Burn me once shame on you. Won't happen again.

No coverage

By Sharon , Apison TN

I have some light brown spots on my face, this foundation did not cover them. Estee Lauder is much better than this.

Introductory Kit is a Scam

By Christina, Scottsdale, AZ, Verified Reviewer

I purchased the introductory kit in June. I read customer reviews that state that buried in the fine print you will get two more kits, for a total of three kits. I ordered anyway thinking I would cancel the other two kits if I didn't like the product. Well, I loved the Bye Bye Foundation product, so I kept the following two kits. It is now December, and I noticed It Cosmetics (Tryitnow) has taken 7 payments of $53 - the latest one as of November 30. This is WELL after I received my last (third) kit. These people are scam artists. As much as I absolutely loved the foundation, I will not give them another dime for their misleading business practices. I was told I would be refunded $150 (the cost of the third kit) as soon as they receive it. We will see. I am VERY disappointed. Buyer beware!

Dont waste your money!

By Roxene Dichard, Merrimac, MA, Verified Reviewer

I was so excited when I seen the infomercial as I've used IT Cosmetics and liked them. I have hyper pigmentation and not only did it not cover it but it looked cakey and dry. First, when I called the customer service, she asked me over 13 times if I wanted the full size after I kept telling her I want the introductory size. What did I get? The full size, which they charge you every month for three months instead of the 1 month charge. The free brush was the only item I liked.

Disappointing Results

By Cinder Rella, California, Verified Reviewer

I was excited to receive the three products I ordered directly from IT Cosmetics which were, Bye Bye Foundation, Feel the Moment Primer Serum, and Bye Bye Under Eye Corrector. It was stated in this article that customers can't purchase one item and that they're forced to purchase kits. That wasn't the case when I visited IT Cosmetics website and placed my order. I wasn't told I had to purchase a kit or have any monthly automatic shipments. It's possible at the time the article came out that buying individual products wasn't made available. And if that was the case, it isn't so now. I ordered the items and received them seven days later.

I made the purchase after seeing the ad on television. The owner was talking about how wonderful her product was and actually wiped her makeup off which then showed the reason for the makeup in the first place, which was a really bad case of rosacea. I couldn't believe how well it covered and I was sold. I wanted to cover up dark under eye circles and was optimistic it would do the job. It did not. It didn't cover any better than than other product on the store shelves but unfortunately it cost me a great deal more to find that out. I would not recommend these products for anyone wanting to cover dark circles.
