I love my Copper Chef

By Jeremiah Twofeathers, Oklahoma, Verified Reviewer

Wow! This is the best pan I have ever owned. The key to keeping this pan doing what it is supposed to do is cooking on lower temperatures than normal. When I ordered I didn't expect to get my pan until all three payments were made but I was surprised to get it in 4 days.

I also expected to pay 3 payments of $24.99 but was surprised to get it for just 3 payments of $19.99.

I am saving up to order some other pans from Copper Chef so I can throw away all of my "non-stick" pans that don't do what they are supposed to do.

Copper Chef - Customer Service

By JJ Leach, Bullard, TX, Verified Reviewer

Because of the reviews and videos on easily scratching and losing the non-stick of the Copper Chef pans, we have canceled our order. However, contrary to the reviews on poor customer service, we did not find that to be true with our experience. My husband spoke with two different people and they were both prompt, courteous and professional. Our order was immediately canceled with no hassle.

Wondering

By John, Pennsylvania, Verified Reviewer

So far I've had a pretty good experience, although the magical sliding off of the food is incorrect I have to use a spray oil or butter. But my question is can I use my lid in the oven? That was never addressed using in the commercial or instructions.

I like it but it is fragile.

By Linda Abbott, Ogden, UT, Verified Reviewer

My first experience with these copper-type pans was when a couple came with my induction cooker. They were great for a while and then mostly lost their non-stick quality. That was several years ago. I bought this one hoping they had resolved the issue. So far, I'm not having the problem and I've had it for several months. I didn't see, however, that I wasn't supposed to use extra virgin olive oil, because the recipes call for it and I use it all the time. I haven't had any problems because of it so far. I saw not to use sprays, but that's something I find frequently, and I don't use them anyway. I got mine on Amazon and it came with a couple of scratches. Amazon exchanged it immediately. I use this pan a lot, it makes a killer roast chicken and does fried chicken really well. So far, so good for me. My food has come out juicy and flavorful. I've also used it for searing meat before it goes out to the grill and it does a great job. I don't put my pans in the dishwasher ever, so I can't report as to whether it holds up to that. I have forgotten it on the stove, so I can tell you that it takes high temperatures well. I'm not sorry I made this purchase. It won't replace my other cookware, but it does have its place and what I've used it for, it's performed great.

Outside of pan

By Lynn langford , Texas, Verified Reviewer

It's hard or impossible to get stains from sides and bottom! I like the nonstick interior but keeping it looking nice outside is a real problem.

Not cheap in any respect

By Paul, Half Moon Bay, CA, Verified Reviewer

I purchased the Copper Chef square fry pan and the accompanying round skillet. Have cooked many times in both pans and am very impressed with the ease of cleanup and the uniform cooking with the following exceptions: the bottom of the square pan is not flat - the center is high so all liquids and oils pool around the outer edge. Sauces and other dishes needing even mixing are difficult. The outside is not easy to clean, the fry pan's outside is easily stained and collects burn on food and when heated is impossible to remove. Still for flipping omelets, pancakes, etc. it is a dream come true. I have never had anything stick on the inside. Too bad the outside keeps the pans in the drawer and not on the pot rack.

Love the cookware. Make sure you use plastic utensils.

By JetSmarterSucks, New York, Verified Reviewer

I never enjoyed cooking so much. I love the pots and pans. I bought every pan available and also been giving them out to the family as gifts.

The only bad thing is that they do scratch which I thought they were not supposed to. So make sure you only use plastic tools when cooking.

Use with NuWave Cooktop

By Jean Lord, Florida, Verified Reviewer

I frequently post things I cook in our NuWave oven or on the NuWave cooktop on my Facebook page. Today I thought I'd share what I thought about the Copper Chef Pro. I'm referring to how it works on our NuWave cooktop. I have not used it with our oven or stove top.

Cooking pasta and steaming vegetables are great. I attempted to make french toast this morning, and I noticed that the circular induction surface does not cook evenly. The interior corners cook faster than the exterior. Fortunately, I noticed this when flipping french toast and rotated the bread for even cooking. Hopefully, when a new design comes out this issue will be resolved.

Frying pan replacement

By Andre Lamontagne, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I received a frying pan with a very tiny metallic deposit in the pan. We would note dare use without the deposit. I called Copper Chef Canada without any problem. The agent referred the problem to a supervisor who immediately authorized the shipping of a replacement. I got the replacement a few days after.

Yes, we received an excellent service; contrary to what I had read on the internet.

Scratches have appeared!

By Eileen Lento, Rocklin, CA, Verified Reviewer

Well, for starters, I only paid $49.99 for the entire set of Copper Chef Pans at Sam's Club. They seem to be doing fine, except, when I was washing the sides of my large square pan I noticed that the copper was scratched and coming off at the crease where the pan goes from the side to the flat bottom of the pan. I don't know how it got scratched as I am extremely careful as to how I wash it and use it. I do not use any abrasive cleaners on it, but I do see aluminum exposed or coming through the scratches on the bottom crease as it turns to go up the sides.

The only thing I do not like

By Tammy Cannoy, Florida, Verified Reviewer

I love the pan; it does just what it shows on TV. It is very non-stick, and washing and clean up of the pan is a breeze.

Please do not get me wrong, I love my Copper Chef Pan, but they have to do something about the lid. It has a silver rim around the edge of the glass, and there is less than 1/16 of an inch gap from where the rim and the glass meet, and I have yet to find a brush small enough to clean. And let me tell you, it is black now, and you can't soak the lid upside down because it has a steam vent and the water comes out. I had to soak one side at a time in bleach to get the black out from under the very edge.

They need to do something about that lid, but I love the pan.
