Well, these days most everything is done over the phone or the computer, which is very stressful for people of a certain age. The staff walked us through the process very easily. We have only made one payment, so we are very new clients, but according to my Credit Karma report, Freedom Financial has already closed two of our accounts. That's great!

I am writing a premature review at this time. I went through the signup process and it was a positive experience overall. I was left with some questions which took three calls to customer service to get an answer. My dashboard can't be set up yet because there is a backlog...However, my first payment will be processed because they will go into my account to get the monthly payment. I would prefer to send it to them the money monthly, rather than their company having direct access into my account. That limits my control of the process. There are a couple of other kinks in the process that I think need to be worked out, but I hope the overall process is successful. I'll keep notes on the entire process.

I'm new to the program and have mixed feelings at this point. I joined FDR because I was paying for college expenses (still am) for my children when my husband lost his job and remained unemployed for 8 months. A broken pipe that flooded my entire house and damaged property made matters worse. Being the sole provider for my family, it was hard to make ends meet, so I had no choice but to open credit card accounts to cover these expenses.
Even with paying more than the minimum monthly payment on these credit cards, I wasn't seeing any decrease in my debt. I had good credit up to this point, but with the high percentage of credit card utilization, my credit quickly dipped. I needed to do something to fix it, but paying the minimum every month was increasing my debt, not lowering it.
After researching several options, and even taking out a debt consolidation loan, I opted for FDR. I am hopeful that they can help me get rid of this credit card debt. Yet after reading horror story reviews from others who have been in the program for a while, who say they wish they'd never agreed to join, I'm wondering if I made the right decision. I don't want to end up in a worse situation financially than I already am.

This has been a smooth process. No confusion and all questions answered when asked. I was amazed at the simplicity. Me and my family were hit with financial crisis 7 months ago and it was like spinning tires in the mud...we were never gaining. Make a credit card payment and pay high interest and use the little credit balance right away. This needed to be solved. FDR is the way to go.

FDR has very friendly and knowledgeable staff! Julie walked me thru the process. It was so easy, I did all the paperwork on my tablet. In my PJs! Everything FDR said they did and now I feel better about my debt consolidation! I live in a fixed income, so FDR fixed my debt!
They think of everything! You get names, numbers, addresses for the creditors, so they know what going on! You just keep making the monthly payments and FDR does the rest!

I feel a brick has been lifted and I am able to enjoy my kids without the anxiety of not being able to pay bills on time.

After going through a divorce and getting a lot of my wife’s debt, I was using my credit cards to try and pay things off and was falling farther and farther down the hole. I got a letter in the mail that Freedom was willing to help me out. I was very very skeptical, I filled out the online stuff just to see. Mike Lord called me and we talked for probably 45 minutes. He sent me all the stuff and told me to read over it and gave me his number so I could call anytime I had questions.
I read over, still was very skeptical, but decided to go ahead. After I signed I was very worried so I called Mike and left a message and in about 10 minutes he called me back. I told him my fears, he reassured me they where there to take care of me, and Mike said anytime I needed to call, that’s what he was there for, and he was the only person that would be taking care of me so I wouldn’t have to explain over and over again to someone else if I called in.

There was a "hold-back" of credit card number info by creditor inhibiting a pay off of what was agreed on.
All info was cleared and the pay-off was accomplished.
The customer service rep was VERY patient in straightening the confusion.

Once I signed the agreement for the change I went to contact customer service about whether the new total would start this current deposit or the next and that the account change I also needed to do had gone through so I didn't have to move funds around. In the chat function, all they could tell me was that the new deposit schedule started June 14th. So I called customer service and they told me yes, the account change had gone through and that the new deposit amount would be pulled on May 14th and the new deposit schedule I was emailed did not include the May 14th deposit at all. The original amount was withdrawn and I ended up scheduling a one-time deposit for the difference since my latest settlement agreement needed the new deposit amount to start this month. When I received the updated deposit list it showed the May 14th deposit at the original amount.
The customer service people were quite polite and helpful, though they gave me slightly incorrect information, which is why I only gave 4 stars.

Nine years ago I tried calling all my creditors to see if they could work with me on my debt. Due to my husband passing away and it was just me paying the debt and I was struggling with it as well. They all wouldn't do anything for me! I tried different solutions. Didn't want to file bankruptcy but something had to be done! So I called Freedom Debt Relief and spoke with Casey Hough. I couldn't have spoken to a better person. He was so helpful in the needs I was needing at the time. I was scared at first but Casey reassured me as long as I stuck with the program I'll be fine. Not to mention I pay an extra $12 a month for Freedom to speak on my behalf if my creditors ever come after me, well worth $12 a month. I'm glad I called Freedom Debt Relief, it's paying my debt off.
