I recently noticed two charges on my credit card linked to HelloFresh. These were identical charges, not an additional charge for gourmet ingredients. This was also not a shadow payment like what you might see when prepaying at a gas station - no cancellation of payment or repayment. Straight up two payments for one week.

Contacted customer service two weeks ago and after 4 customer service representatives asking me the same questions and asking for the same info, I am still not any closer to getting my money back for one of those two payments. I don’t enjoy giving away nearly $170 to a company for nothing...

What should have been resolved quickly and easily, hasn’t been. And because of this, my frustration is growing every time they pass me off to someone else who won’t do anything.

I hate to say it, but this is pure theft/fraud. I am charged for literally nothing and can’t get my money back? I have also asked to have my account canceled. Let’s see if they allow that?

My order was delayed by at least 3 days. Instead of a refund, they gave me free breadsticks for my next order. Should have refunded all my money.

I signed for a trial of 3 deliveries.

Was able to choose two and the third one was sent randomly (fine, my error, their website is designed the way you just focus on buying more and add-ons not actually managing your subscription).

Anyway, to my surprise a month later they sent another box which I hadn't ordered and they charged me for it! More to that, when I refused the delivery, they said I was supposed to let them know 5 days in advance?!

So for 9 meals they charged me more than £100! This is more expensive than takeaway!

And it looks like despite the fact that I canceled the subscription, they will keep charging me (their business model is 5 days for us to take your money but 1 day for actual order processing)!

Scam. Beware. Their customer support can only apologise and ignore your queries, without even registering the complaint!

I spoke with someone in July who told me I had until Oct 31st to cancel my subscription. Then when I got charged on the 27th, I called to see why, and they said, "No, you need to call BEFORE the next shipment date." I contacted customer service (who had the convo on file) and they did nothing to help the 79-dollar charge I was issued, for something I did not order. This is not the first time I've had bad customer service with them.

My husband and I really appreciate and enjoy HelloFresh. Besides the tasty recipes and all-fresh produce and meats, I have learned how to prepare the food and also to season it. I look forward to my weekly delivery like it is Christmas. No more waste on herbs, etc. and more than enough meat for leftovers. Thank you, thank you, HelloFresh.

It pains me to write a negative review for HelloFresh as my husband and I are great fans of their food. However, we have had a simply terrible experience getting them to deliver our boxes in a place where they won't get stolen! We live on a busy street in Chicago, and our boxes are often taken off the front porch by the time we get home from work. We have asked HelloFresh numerous times to arrange for the boxes to be delivered to our back door (safe out of view from the main street), but they continue to ignore our pleas. So, we find ourselves at wit's end.

My husband talked me into trying HelloFresh. I loved the choices for the meals. They came right on time, and everything looked very fresh. The meats were excellent quality. I especially love that everything I needed was in the package. The instructions were very easy to follow, and I could have dinner on the table in around 35 to 40 minutes from start to finish. One of the meals was rib eye steak. It was so tender you could cut it with a butter knife.

The portions are very generous. Our son lives with us, and even though I chose the 1-2 servings, there was plenty for all three of us to eat. After years of using the same 6-7 recipes every week, it was so nice to try some different meals. There was nothing I can say negative about the meals. I would recommend HelloFresh to anyone who likes great quality food that is easy to prepare.

If you are in a rut and feel like you are making the same things over and over, a meal order program is excellent. I need menus that have less than 600 calories and usually can find them, but more would be appreciated. They do overuse green beans, but I generally substitute those out on my own. Some of the recipes are downright delicious. I hardly go to the grocery store anymore, and my grocery bill has been reduced.
