HomeLight real estate referral

The website is easy to use and provides you all the realtors in your area so you can make an educated decision who would be right for you to sell your home. I found the perfect agent within a few minutes and called for an interview and loved them so much that I hired them that day. Thank you HomeLight for the easy process. Home seller

Terry was indeed an excellent referral.

I met with the top three on your list of referrals, and all three were competent and seemed liked knowledgeable realtors very familiar with the target market, Terry, immediately had an upbeat prediction for the value of the house in that particular neighborhood, and had a very good marketing strategy for advertising the house. He worked tirelessly and tenaciously to pursue at least three potential buyers. And worked till the last day to get us to and through closing. He got me at least $10,000 (almost 15%) more than I thought I would get for the house, and got the house closed on at least 5-6 months faster than I thought it could reasonably be accomplished.

In summary...it would have been almost impossible for me to have chosen a realtor of his abilities without the assistance of the Homelight service.

Selling house out of state easy with HomeLight

Using HomeLight made it easy to find a real estate agent in the area of our house since we are located out of state. Our realtor looked at our house, gave us recommendations of work needed and provided referrals for the work. Our home was on the market and under contract in less than 4 weeks. It couldn't have been easier!

We were extremely happy with the realtor, Mike Volante recommended by HomeLight. He was very professional in helping us price the home and every aspect of moving the sale forward. He kept us up-to-date constantly as to showings and feedback on our listing. We will recommend him to anyone looking for a realtor. He is an extremely honest and warm person who will be a friend to us forever. Both realtors recommended by HomeLight were equally qualified which made it a difficult choice, but we are very happy with the choice we made.

Great service

We had to move cross country and HomeLight referred us to 2 realtors. One to sell our home and one to purchase.

Both Jon Miles (selling) and Alicia Girard (buying) were fantastic! Jon was able to get us a quick sale for what we wanted, and Alicia made our relocation purchase easy!

With the top-notch realtors the HomeLight provided, it took away the biggest stress we had.

We were in a position where we hadn't worked with a realtor for over 20 years and the last one we'd worked with had retired and passed away a number of years back. My wife had a job opportunity come up that would require us to move halfway across the country and after heading to the PNW to get a feel for where we wanted to live in February decided we needed to make it happen sooner rather than later. We didn't know where to start locally but my wife had seen HomeLight ads running on HGTV so we decided to give it a try.

The first interaction after giving HomeLight our contact info was the automated suggestions, which to be perfectly honest weren't really what I was looking for as they really hadn't sold anything in our area and one was actually in the California bay area and not in the Bloomington/Minneapolis area. The next morning I talked with a HomeLight agent who assured me they were working on hand-picked recommendations for us and that we'd be hearing from them shortly. So within 24 hours of contacting HomeLight, we had a live HomeLight agent walk us through what we were going to be receiving and within 10 minutes of that conversation we had first contact with the agent that sold our house. For someone who hadn't worked with or talked to a realtor in MN and really didn't know where to start, the HomeLight service was invaluable. Not only did the first agent who reached outsell our house but he had a team of guys who helped us with the small things needed to get it ready. There is no way we'd have found Mark without HomeLight, the whole process was as painless as it could be and everything went smoothly from start to finish. We also sold our house for 7% over asking and closed 34 days from the first listing date.

Overall I'd give HomeLight's service an A+ and I have no doubt using your services is why we had so much success.

HomeLight's customer service, attention to detail, and timely completion of all planned steps in the process made completion of our home sale notably ideal. All of the HomeLight staff we interacted with were professional, helpful and genuine in their approach. Even though the buyer had expedited the closing process by setting a very short timeline for closing, HomeLight rose to the occasion and we couldn't be more pleased with the service they provided. Many thanks to Angelica and Matt for being so great to work with and making the process so simple for us.

Easy process

HomeLight was great and so easy to use. I was reached out by a few realtors that are familiar with my area and I decided to go with one of them. He sold my house in ONE week. I had bad experiences in real estate buying with friends and family as they don’t put all the effort sometimes.

My realtor was professional and I gained a friend. Not only did I sell my house, but I used him to buy my new house.

If you are trying to sell your house go with HomeLight and a team of realtors on YOUR are will reach out. Nothing worse than buying or selling from an agent that knows nothing about the area.

Disappointing...not as advertised!

A few weeks ago I sent my contact info to HomeLight, with the anticipation that I would receive a list of top-selling realtors in my area. I did this after seeing a commercial on TV. However, rather than sending me the listing of realtors, my contact information was sent out to a broad network of realtors, who immediately started calling me and sending e-mails. One e-mail I received was very disturbing because it contained some personal information that possibly could be dangerous to me. My phone continues to ring with realtors calling; and, it has gotten to the point that I don't want to answer the phone. My experience was not positive; and, I would caution people before submitting information to this site. It is not as advertised!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

HomeLight ignored support request emails

I just wanted others to be aware of my experience, buyers and agents alike. I am a Realtor and thought to set up a profile with HomeLight starting back this past January 2019 and looked forward to helping buyers with their home search. Initially, things seemed to be going well and spent quite some time generating the agent profile and uploading my past sales (valuable time I found to be wasted). My first email for support request was answered pretty quickly related to uploading the sales. They mentioned it would take a couple of days for the past sales to be processed and reflected on my public profile. Then when they posted I noticed only a portion of the past sales were displayed with my highest price sales not listed. And it also indicated that I have 105 years of experience (I'm not quite that old). So it appeared the dates on the past listings were wrong. This is when the problems began.

I had put in multiple support requests asking to correct the dates and why my other sales were not being reflected and no response other than an automated email indicating someone would be with me soon. I was actually able to get someone on the phone but they said just put in another support request as the support team is probably busy this time of year and this person couldn't help further. So I did submit another support request...and another...weeks, months went by and no reply (even though I continued to see HomeLight running their commercials continuously on TV). Made me wonder what kind of support are they actually giving their buyer clients. Through this service buyers will not have access to all agents in the area since agents need to sign up and then might not be able to if they experience what I did...so it seems sort of a misrepresentation to buyers if buyers think they'll have access to all agents through this system. I was hoping HomeLight would make this right but it's now 4 months later with no communication and no corrections to my profile.

Anyway, I wish all the other home buyers and agents out there good luck!
