Waste of time and money

I placed my order for the 15 pairs of contacts they had on special for $4 shipping only. That went well, and the product got to me quickly. Then after I had canceled, they continued billing me. I canceled again on September 6, 2018, and they apologized and promised me a refund. It is now October 14th, and I had to email the company several more times. I finally got my refund, but they excluded shipping fees and little odds and ends, and it worked out that I received a $30 refund. Considering the company charged me after I canceled, and I got slapped with a massive bank fee for insufficient funds, this company is not worth dealing with. The whole ordeal ate up two months of my life and almost $95, but hey, I got $30 back.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Be wary of Hubble!

I've been subscribed to Hubble Contacts for over a year. At first, the service was great and convenient, being able to have my contacts delivered to me. However, I kept receiving boxes (this happened for at least 3-4 orders) where the contacts were damaged (either the lens was missing or dried out).

I contacted their customer service and they said that they could not refund me for the damaged contacts, since I had opened them. However, I wouldn't have known the contacts were damaged if I didn't open them, which is frustrating. They said only that they could send me a new box, which would have been a waste as these contacts started to dry my eyes out consistently.

When I visited my optometrist for a check-up, I told her I was wearing Hubble lenses and she advised me to stop. She told me that they actually use old lens technology from the 80s and that their lenses aren't as effective or breathable and had me switch to Dailies Total One.

I have noticed a huge difference in comfort in wear. She told me Hubble contacts have a DK of 18 (DK values measures oxygen permeability). That is incredibly low, as compared to my current contacts brand of Dailies Total One which has a DK of 140. Here is an article with more info: https://newgradoptometry.com/hubble-contact-lenses/.

I feel that Hubble Contacts has been dishonest with their service. They are convenient, but they are also hiding the fact that they are reusing old lens technology which I think is misleading as it can seriously cause people to damage their eyesight.

Contacts decent, not good customer experience

Calling to cancel is a terrible experience. Combined with an account error that charged and sent me boxes I didn't want, I definitely would not recommend this company. The contacts themselves were fine but not worth the hassle.

Dissatisfied

I was very disappointed. They do not carry my strength so I had to choose a step higher which gave me headaches, or a step lower which left me squinting. I was able to wear my name brand contact for 10-12 hours comfortably. Hubble Contacts I was only able to get 5 hours. After wearing the Hubble brand my eyes were tired and sore to the point I was unable to put a new pair in. I am a nurse and I need my contacts to work as long as I do. I have also contacted Hubble 2 times to cancel and I am still being billed. I now have 5 boxes of unopened contacts I will never use. Very frustrating.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

HUBBLE CONTACTS

Good price at first. Contacts aren’t worth it as they are extremely dry and make your eyes hurt. Also, I still couldn’t see with them correctly. They’re good if you need them for occasions or events, but I wouldn’t recommend for every day.

Not was I was hoping for...

I had high expectations when I got my trial box since I had read many positive reviews, however, I wasn't impressed after trying the contacts out for a week. First impressions were good; the packaging was cute and brightly colored, and when the contacts would sit right in my eyes they were very comfortable. In good lighting, I could see perfectly. However, when it was dark, any lights would have a huge glare around them, making it very hard to see at night or in dim lighting. After noticing this, I tried to cancel my subscription before my first actual box got shipped out, but I was too late and customer service could not cancel it for me.

Upon using the contacts from the paid box subscription, I began to notice that some of the contacts were flipped inside out (opposed to the proper way they are supposed to be put into the eye) in the packaging. Once I get the contacts in my eyes, they don't always fit right either, even if it is flipped the correct way, almost like there is an air bubble between the contact and my eye that I cannot get out. Overall, I was not impressed and do not plan on ordering from Hubble again. It was worth a shot though.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Good idea and great customer service, but could be more flexible with returns

I love the customer service from Hubble and the idea is great. The customer service reps are so speedy and helpful! The packaging is adorable. My packages always arrived on time and in excellent condition. That part gets five stars! Honestly, any complaints I have are mostly on me, but I just want others to get a full picture. This is a two-part complaint:

One: If your eyes are prone to drying out, these might not be the best for you. I would definitely suggest doing the trial though, because if they work for you they're truly a great product. However, due to my job that requires a lot of screen time, I have to cancel my subscription because the contacts feel like they're stabbing my eyeballs after a few hours of wear.

Second issue: My two-job work schedule really picked up last month and I kept forgetting to send back the box, and then before I knew it another box came. As per the 30-day return policy, I can't send back the previous box. Which I admit is my fault, should have briefed myself on the policy before hoarding. I just think Hubble should consider a bit more flexibility with this policy, as part of the product's appeal is its convenience! Life gets busy and now I have a pristine, unopened box of contacts that are not only dry and stabby after like five hours of wear, but are also the wrong prescription and will go to waste. I know I probably signed a contract with my subscription, etc., but I can't help but feel a little bit ripped off that Hubble now has $36 that I worked really hard for, in exchange for a product I didn't use that's only like three weeks older than the newest box. Contacts can stay fresh if they're stored properly and if Hubble's contacts don't after a few weeks that's another issue altogether.

I suggest Hubble extends the return policy to 3 months for their busy customers. Or at least offers one-time exceptions to loyal customers. I work for a family-owned business and a retail store where customer appreciation is paramount, so it just really doesn't sit well. I would still recommend the product to a friend, but I'm saying I wouldn't so someone from Hubble looks at this and might take pity on my poor (literally) soul and let me mail back/refund the second box. That kind of customer flexibility and loyalty on top of the existing positive qualities of the company would really set Hubble apart and make it even better.

I found them very uncomfortable

I was surprised to see people said these were comfortable. I find them very uncomfortable within an hour or 2 of wearing. Even sometimes when I first put them in they are uncomfortable. I found other brands much more comfortable for all-day wear.

I also found the cancelation process to be difficult. You should not have to make a phone call to cancel. Logging into your profile and canceling should be all it takes. If a company has a good product they don't need to make the cancellation process so difficult. Just sayin'.

Upset customer

I had a Hubble subscription for a relatively long time, I tried to change my prescription and was met with an email. I expressed I didn’t understand so I sent a copy of the script in but then to receive a rude unsatisfactory email response. I gave up and canceled, taking my business elsewhere.

Could be better

I am a first-time contact user. Figured I would give Hubble a try. My eyes tend to sting after I put them in, and my eyes are usually goopy and gross if I sleep in them. They are nowhere near what I excepted.

And another con is that I have to call in to cancel my "subscription" when I should just be able to push a button. I don't have the time to sit on hold all day to cancel a $39.00 monthly charge for contacts I can't even use.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
