Scam! Be aware!

This company should be shut down immediately! So many bad experiences, complaints, reviews, monetary losses, etc. all over the internet but they are still active and still deceive unsuspecting people like myself! They never accept a "no" after the trial period. The product itself is useless. Your face has to be literally like porcelain slate to be able to use this foundation. It makes all your wrinkles and imperfections stand out instead of hiding them because of the design error. I cannot believe I did not see it. Their TV commercial has nothing to do with actual results. In addition, they will rip you off even if you return their product. Just avoid Luminess Air! I wish I could give them negative feedback, but I had to go with one star.

Don't buy

I have pictures on how I received my product in the mail yesterday, but can't submit them here. I did post on another site. When I email and sent the pictures to customer service they sent me back an email stating I had to call, that they could not assist me via email. I am on the West Coast and work 8-5 M-F, and their customer service department is only open 8-5:30 M-F Central Standard time. This meant I had to call during my working hours.

When on the phone the idiot that was helping me, told me it wasn't their fault. At that point, I told him to issue me a refund. At first, he refused, but I insisted and eventually got a return number, which took forever due to him reading all this crap and telling me how it has to be returned or they won't accept it and will return it back to me and then charge my credit card again. He then proceeded to tell me that I have a shipment in October that will be shipped out and my credit card will be charged, and if I wanted it returned, then I would have to call them back and go through the process for another return number. I told him NO. And he stated it can take up to 8 weeks to get the refund. They take the funds out of our accounts immediately, they need to return our funds immediately.

Unfortunately, he is just a customer rep and could NOT do anything, so I requested to speak to a manager, and of course, no one was available. I don't recommend this product. It is not worth the price nor the hassle of their system. Please do yourself a favor and find a different product.

Buyer beware

If there was worse than a "really bad experience" option, I would have chosen that. Not only was this product of poor quality, I did not work as claimed and ruined some expensive clothing.

The only thing worse than the Luminess Air products is their customer service. After three cancellations of product (with confirmation numbers) they are still charging my card monthly for the product, and have never refunded me the $299 for the machine itself, which was returned exactly according to their RA requirements.

You will be sorry on all levels getting involved with this company.

I have to close my account

Let me just tell you this, I didn't realize they have been charging my card this whole time and now I get a letter from my bank stating my account is on hold because of these people. I'm so beyond pissed. I have children and I need somewhere I can deposit my child support checks into. My mortgage is due today, and my account is on hold because of them. Not to mention, this whole time I've not been receiving any product to let me know I was even supposed to be getting anything from this company. They will hear from me on Tuesday since it's Labor day weekend and now we can sit and wait for that too. It's all being disputed. I want my money back, my children's money, and I want it back now! After reading all these reviews, how I wish I would have read them beforehand. Do not buy this; you will be robbed over and over again!

Don't do it - you can never cancel! Scam!

While I used the makeup and liked it for a while, I decided to cancel. The site makes it next to impossible to find out how to cancel. Every time I call, the office is closed and the chat link doesn't work. I found the email address and sent a cancellation request which they responded to on 4/5/18 and confirmed my subscription is canceled. However, they continue to bill my Amex. I opened a claim with Amex and sent another email. Do yourself a favor and don't subscribe. It's a nightmare to try and cancel. Next stop - BBB to file a formal complaint.

Promotion is a scam

Be aware that the current promotion to receive the Luminous Air system for $19.95 (plus free bonus items) is a SCAM. You will be charged $27.94 (shipping is $7.99), which seems reasonable, BUT, if you read the fine print, after 30 days, you will be charged an additional THREE payments of $39.99 (another $120)! This ad and promotion are definitely misleading! BEWARE.

Do NOT buy! Rip off!

I got the product and the colors do not match at all. They sent two bottles; one makes me look red and the other was 5 shades darker than my skin. It is very hard to use this machine, and it spit/sputtered the foundation on.

When I called to return the product, I was informed that it would take up to 8 weeks to inspect the machine before they would refund my money. Also, there are lots of hidden fees! I had to give it a one-star rating as zero stars was not an option. I am very disappointed with this product, the infomercial was very deceiving...now I know why this commercial is on late at night.

False advertising

I ONLY ordered this because the infomercial said it would not cost me ANYTHING to try it.

I call to return it and am told (by someone with an accent so strong I can't understand him) that I have to pay for shipping back. After much complaining, they told me they would refund me $10 for shipping. It will cost MORE than that.

THEN he tells me they will charge me a 25% restocking fee.

I use my AMX, which will kick the charge back to them for lying to me, but it will be a hassle. If you want to try one of these systems order it from Amazon. Much cheaper and you can return for free.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This is the worse product and customer service that I have ever experienced. I would not recommend this to my worse enemy. The product was returned and they acknowledge it, but they keep taking my money.

Stopped working at about 31 days

It took a bit to decide color choice in makeup, but that was easily remedied with a little time. I think if it had kept working, I might have really liked it.

But I must have gotten a lemon, since the machine just died. Their return policy was a return within 30 days, so I missed that windows of opportunity by days. That should have been a red flag to me or anyone that a return policy is only 30 days. Many of us are busy and it may take a while to get used to a new product. If a product is good, they should stand behind their product! Especially as it was the compressor that stopped working.

My unit looks brand new, I cleaned it out well every time, but it stopped working within days of the warranty time, so I was unable to return. When I called, they said it was the compressor since nothing worked. Although they didn’t recommend it, he suggested I could try to fix the compressor myself or buy a new unit.

I definitely would have returned it had it been within the return window, but I should have been given a new unit. Mine was a faulty unit, but I would have liked to continue using the product. As the compressor is what makes it work or not, the quality should obviously be better.

If Luminess wants to allow me to return my product and send me a new one, I would love to talk with someone and revise my review. Customer service is a huge plus or minus for a company.

Luminess Air is a sneaky company

Luminess Air did not work for me. It may work for other people but not me. So I immediately let them know that I did not want the automatic payments taken out of my account. They said OK to that but conveniently did not tell me that I still had to pay for the make-up wand, which was approximately $129.00. So when I saw the first payment installment had come out of my account about a month after I told them that I did not want the product, I immediately called my bank and told them that fraud had been committed on my account and that I wanted my debit card canceled. My bank did what I requested. After going back and forth with Luminess Air for about 3 months, I finally sent the wand as well as the rest of the product back to them. I sent it certified/return receipt.

After about a week or so I called them to make sure they got the product back and when will I get my first installment refund. Luminess proceeded to tell me that they never received the product and did I have a tracking number. I gave them the tracking number and then they changed their tune and said they did receive the product back. They wanted my debit card information so that they could issue the refund and I told them no. I told them to mail me a check. They said that's not their policy.

So I proceeded to report them to the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Affairs in Texas, which is where their corporate office is. Just last Thursday, I got my refund in my bank account. Luminess must have told my bank to put the payment in my account because Luminess did not have my debit card information. This is four months after I originally purchased the product. This was a nightmare, and I will never do business with this company again and for anybody out there, just be careful when dealing with this company.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
