What do I love about my Quip?
1) Simple: not big and bulky like other electric toothbrushes.
2) No crazy features: focuses on what my mouth needs, not what it doesn’t.
3) Portability: if you travel, the holder (that normally sticks on your mirror at home) turns into a travel case. Genius.
4) Subscription: now I don’t need to remember to buy a new toothbrush and paste…it just shows up at home when I need it.
5) It’s the prettiest toothbrush I have ever seen!

I live abroad and ordered a brush two weeks before a planned trip home so I could pick it up when I arrived. When I got back to the US, there was no toothbrush, even though it was already well beyond the stated delivery timeline. I contacted the company and asked them to expedite a replacement for me, but they said there wasn't enough time to do so and that the delivery problem "should resolve itself" in a few days. I don't have a few days, as I'm leaving the country again for a few months. I have neither a toothbrush nor a refund at this point. This company's delivery process is misleading and inaccurate, and their customer service is non-existent.

Hi Andrea,
We are sorry to hear that you had some trouble with your order delivery.
Unfortunately, we cannot control the end delivery time and as this is in the hands of USPS. At the time you had emailed in, we could not guarantee that your package would arrive in time before you left, even with an expedited reshipment as our help team had explained.
Looking into your case further, we can see that the shipping zip code entered at checkout was not matching your street address, which can also cause an issue with delivery. We are always here to help with updating any shipping details before an order is shipped, to assure that your package arrives within the 3-7 business days, which is outlined for free standard shipping.
We sincerely apologize for any trouble this may have caused. We are here to help with any additional questions at help@getquip.com.

This could be a long, drawn-out review but here is the TL;DR (can I do this for something that wasn't written?):
Good: Noticeably whiter teeth (toothpaste and two-minute timer).
Bad: Hardware is terrible. I bought two devices, within the first two weeks, the first unit failed (battery issues). Within two months, the second unit wouldn't start without coaxing out the motor assembly. It likely needs a spit of lube (hehe), but still shady.

I only gave one star because there was no option to give zero! I received this toothbrush as a gift, however, I received a defective brush. It did not power on even after numerous attempts at troubleshooting. I contacted customer service, and they did nothing because my grandma tossed the receipt and of course doesn’t use email to register the brush! My poor grandma tried to do something nice for me and I could not even use it!

Overall, I really like Quip. Two things do you to think about:
1. When brushing the back of my teeth, I find it hard to reach some areas. The brush is sooo straight, that it won’t go where I need it to. A little curve to the brush would really help.
2. The toothpaste doesn’t leave my mouth feeling fresh at all. I always feel like I need a mint right after brushing.
Thank you for asking.

After hearing countless commercials touting this amazing new toothbrush from Quip, I decided to give it a shot. $25 is sacred to me these days, but so are my teeth. I was excited to experience this revolutionary new oral care device.
After over one week, it finally arrived. Maybe I'm jaded, but I don't have to wait a week for anything these days.
I opened the package and read the 6-page instruction pamphlet (yes, 6 pages), because this wasn't supposed to be like any other toothbrush.
They were right. It wasn't. Every other $3-$8 vibrating toothbrush I've ever owned worked. Some worked so well that even years later, they still fire up and vibrate allowing me to clean other things well after its life for use in my mouth had expired. But, the Quip didn't vibrate. It didn't do anything save raise my blood pressure and make me feel like a fool.
I wrote to customer service expecting that for the $25 price tag on a toothbrush built more flimsy than a $4 Oral-B "electric" model they would immediately ship another, no questions asked.
They asked questions. Then, put me to work - demanding that I disassemble the unit to inspect the key components. They wanted pictures of the defective parts before processing a replacement. In one breath, they're calling me an engineer and enlisting my help in solving their production problem and in another they're calling me a liar in my claim and forcing me to prove the malfunction.
One month has passed and I still have not used my platinum-gilded mouth miracle. I have written two more times and still no response.
Do yourself a favor and take the $25 you think you'd like to spend on a Quip and buy either four Oral-B units...or two Oral-Bs and a ball peen hammer with which to repeatedly bash yourself in the skull. Either way, you'll quickly see the better value in those options versus throwing it away at a Quip.

As a long time Sonicare user, I was looking for a change. I received my Quip in November and have been very happy with it. It isn't as strong as the Sonicare, but the brush head is softer and is more gentle to my teeth and gums. It travels much better than my Sonicare, and since it uses a single AA battery, I don't have to take my charger on a long trip like I would the Sonicare. I have had to replace the battery once in the two months I have had it and my first replacement brush head should be arriving any day. By the way, $5 is cheap for a brush head compared to the Sonicare.

I'm amazed at how quiet the toothbrush is! My husband used to wake me up in the morning brushing his teeth but not anymore! I feel like it does a great job getting my teeth clean. I love the sleek design, the holder that attaches to my mirror, and how light it is. We've had ours less than three months, so we haven't gotten our refills yet, but I love that they exist and are automatic, so I don't have to remember when to replace my toothbrush head.
I don't like the toothpaste, my teeth still felt furry after using it. And I don't like that after I brush and put my toothbrush into the holder, it tends to leave a water streak on my mirror. But those are such minor things, that I definitely recommend this toothbrush to everyone!

I love the auto timer, the automatic refill on new headsets, it's easy to use, and pack. I bought these for my son and husband for Christmas gifts and they both have great things to say about this product as well.

I have been using this toothbrush for about 3 months. I feel like my teeth are cleaner than when I used a manual toothbrush. I love the 2-minute timer built into the toothbrush. When I first started using it, I thought those 2 minutes lasted forever! I realize now that that means I wasn’t brushing my teeth long enough before. Now it goes by so quickly! I love that brush heads are delivered right to my door. So convenient!
