A fun way to exercise

By Bobbie, Menifee, California, Verified Reviewer

It is a fun and easy way to exercise. But, after I used it for 15 minutes a day, my knees starting feeling stiff and were hurting. I bend my knees and stand straight. Am I doing something wrong? I WANT to use the fit board, but will my knees eventually go out, or is this exercise just strengthening my knees?

Truly works!

By Roberta B., Strongsville, OH, Verified Reviewer

I sincerely hope this review helps others that are thinking about trying this fit board. I truly do it every day for 10-15 minutes and I have dropped my jeans size from 12 to 8 - unbelievable. My top size was Large - now it is Small. I would not have believed it until it worked for me. I am 67 years old and feel amazing from this fit board.

Website has an outright lie

By Deanna Bishop, Arkansas, Verified Reviewer

I love the board, but when I went to order the Advanced workout DVD, which I quote, their website says:

These Advanced full body workouts are not included on the Basic DVD.

HOWEVER, it is an outright copy of the last three videos of the original DVD.

I was sent two replacements, and the fifth time I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told I would be given a credit. That was just today, so I will see if I receive the credit.

Three people have told me that they were different workouts, but the last person said it was a review of the original. Why do they sell it and claim it is different? I wish I could let the owners know what is being done.

I would recommend the board, but buy it at WalMart. Same board, same price, same DVD.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Speedy shipping, simple device

By Susan Elliott, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I was very pleased about how fast the board shipped. I ordered it on a Monday evening, and it was delivered by 4 pm on Thursday.

It's a simple device, I'm a little skeptical about its durability, but I've only had it for a week, so time will tell. I didn't order the mat but used a foam mat that I already had. It seems to work just fine. I wouldn't recommend using it on a carpet that you really like. It will mat the fibers down. A low pile commercial carpet could work well.

It's a simple motion, and rather easy to balance. I can walk and chew gum, but a balance beam would be a challenge for me, so it requires co-ordination somewhere between those two activities. If you feel unstable, keep a chair handy in front of you just in case you need to stabilize yourself.

I like how you naturally seem to tuck in your pelvis when you twist, protecting your lower back. I used it for five minutes and then was working my way up, and wow, I was winded but exhilarated. I felt it most in my abs and thighs. You can do a bit of a squat to engage your glutes.

The DVD is loose in the box so make sure you look for it and don't accidentally throw it out.

All in all, it's compact, easy to do while watching TV and I can see the potential to step up your workout routine as your fitness level increases.

I think this exercise device is fun and can work to build muscle and cardio, providing that you use it regularly. The bonus of this board is that it's convenient to use anywhere and stores behind a chair, or in your suitcase on a business trip. It's very easy to bring out and use during the time you'd normally just be sitting around.

I can't comment on their customer service and if there are issues because I haven't had any so far, but for a speedy delivery and good communication during the ordering process, they get an A+. For the item being exactly as describe, they get an A+. And for the ease of use, they get A+. As far as durability, I can't comment on that yet.

Balancing

By Rita Mosher, Wellsboro, PA, Verified Reviewer

I just received the Simply Fit Board, and have tried it out. I know I must be doing a little of something correct because I do feel my legs burning and do get sore when I tried it out.

My problem is with the balancing. Can someone give tips on how to balance correctly? I have watched the intro on the DVD that comes with it, and they make it look easy. I know I am not doing it correctly, because I can turn myself completely around, and from one side to the other. I would love to be able to get the hang of it, and I think it would help me out tremendously.

Love it

By Cammie C., Idaho, Verified Reviewer

I was skeptical at first, but after one day I was addicted. I keep seeing terrible reviews, but it works great for me. It took me a while to stay in one place, but once I got my balance, I noticed results. I do the ab and core workout and my posture is straighter and my abs feel tighter. I like it because I'm pretty lazy and it's a quick workout, and it has improved my overall health.

So fun, we love it! LOL

By Lynn Vondran, Pennsylvania, Verified Reviewer

I will never make fun of those doing the commercial again. I LOVE it, and will like it even MORE when I master this contraption! But, we have had so much joking fun with it, and we've each only used it twice so far. I think I will do much better on it when I can stop laughing. Here is my story.

This is a bit upsetting (but really, it's FUNNY). While trying my Simply Fit Board (that I received as a Christmas gift from my husband Mike), he hears this crackling coming from the board. From the TV room he says, "What's that crackling? It doesn't do that when I use it!" Hmmmmm. I told him, "It's because I'm on the edge of the rug." I look down, and I'm not on the rug at all, because by that time I had traveled off the rug, and the thing was still crackling. I then told him, "It must be because I have heavy muscles and bones (because I am under 200 pounds), and this thing is supposed to hold people up to and including 400 pounds." To which he just sits in his chair and laughs!

Then he hears a WHOOP and quickly asks what happened. I didn't want to answer him, but told him anyway, "I just did a complete 360 turn." He gets up and thinks I'm going to let him get his camera to make a video of me on this contraption, LOL. Guess AGAIN, honey, no way, SORRY!

Does it benefit the body? Yes, it does! I feel it, and I'm not even doing it the right way. Well, I AM, but I need a little bit more practice on it before it will turn into a breeze exercise routine, LOL.

Would I recommend it to a friend? Already HAVE! :)

Best exerciser ever

By Traudi, Belmont, MA, Verified Reviewer

I received this as a present and to improve my balance.

First, I was scared to get on that thing, because I'm a senior and my balance was not there to start out. So I got myself a metal rod to fit between doors, something I could hold on to and not fear to fall. I now find the board more effective than most other training machines. I do several rounds of 100 a day, and feel my strength and balance has already improved.

I feel misled

By Larry V., Portland, OR, Verified Reviewer

I feel misled, and this board does very little to tone your abs and really hurts your legs, leaving you with the feeling that you ran five miles.

In my opinion, the advertisers of this product mislead you by saying it is great for burning calories and losing weight when in reality, all this board is good for is improving your balance. What the heck!

I have used this board for about one hour, 15 minutes each day, and my legs hurt so bad that I might just find a different workout. I am VERY upset that I even bought this board! I would have to twist my brains out just to loose a few lousy pounds.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
