I have several of the Gotham Steel Pans and use them almost daily. Eggs cook without oil and slide right out of the pan. What I like best is cooking meat. Start them to brown on the stovetop and then using the same pan I finish my steaks, chops, or fish in the oven. They will come out of the even evenly brown and delicious. I really have no complaints. Washing them is a breeze!

After using it for a couple of weeks, it's now in the recycling bin, so keep your money and SPEND the extra cash and get yourself a Lagostina! It's the only pan that I have owned in the past that's not a letdown!

I bought a 10-piece set, plus an extra lasagna pan, through Amazon. I absolutely loved them, for about two months, then started noticing the food sticking and the clean up really difficult, more difficult than my other pans that were not even non-stick!
When I contacted Gotham, I was told to send $10 through the mail to an address in New York City. No phone number, no web address, just street address with my pots and pans and money; seriously?! The dim customer service rep also said they have no control over what is said on TV and therefore they are not responsible for their products based on that, and also based on the fact that I purchased through Amazon.
When I reminded her that Amazon is THEIR DISTRIBUTOR, she just spoke loudly over me, kept wanting to give me the address to "EMSON" warranty division in New York. They do not stand by their products or their customers, and of course, they don't address the bait and switch of selling something that clearly has a coating that disappears with use. Buyer beware!

I was extremely disappointed. Everything burned and stuck to the pan from day one. I thought maybe I just got a bad one, but when I went to the site and found all the bad reviews, I realized it wasn't just mine. I will be telling my story to anyone who'll listen DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT.

I was skeptical, but when I saw the option of a large square pan (plus a steaming tray and deep fry bin, which will seldom be used quite frankly) I figured it'd be worth getting. I originally went to get a $200 set of pans that were on sale for $80 but left with this instead. Immediately, no regrets.
I haven't actually watched the commercials or knew much about them, the commercials would play at my gym but I seldom actually engaged them, only taking away that they are implied to be very non-stick. On that front, I'd say it's a huge success, surviving a session of cooking rice where I became distracted and forgot to refill the water. The thick layer of burned minerals wiped clean with a damp paper towel with utmost ease.
It does indeed take an understanding of cooking on more than a fundamental level, however, food WILL stick to this pan upon contact. I don't think you can throw a chicken breast on it and it slides around on the inside, but that will happen with even the most expensive professional grade nonstick cookware, even with a gracious amount of oil. Once cooked, however, you'll find nothing remains stuck.
As far as versatility, this cookware can do a lot, especially the square pan. It'll make for fantastic lasagna, stir fry, chicken, and rice, and making an entire breakfast in one pan is a breeze. It handles popcorn even!
The other Gotham Steel pans likely won't be as versatile as the square one, but given the promises from the box, it holds true and has become the only pan I use as a result.

I have had a number of Gotham Steel Fry Pans, and in general find them very good, however, the non-stick quality appears to last about three years, and I still use the pans on an almost daily basis. I find that I have to season the pans with a little olive oil every week or two, that procedure last about four or five days, i.e., NON-stick.
Even though the "non-stick" no longer works, they are easy to clean.

We are so completely disappointed with our Gotham Steel fry pan, because of its total failure to perform anywhere near as advertised. It has always had trouble with food sticking, and the ceramic coating not only scratches easily, but has fallen off in many small areas throughout the surface.
I see lots of rave reviews on YouTube, and suspect they are staged, as our pan performs nothing like advertised. Maybe they have a quality control problem, or they possibly shipped out some inferior product to unsuspecting retailers.
Regardless, we do not know anyone that actually has one that works as advertised. They BITE, not nice!

I bought this pan at Walmart for $28.00 and fried an egg on it and thought it was cool. Then I tried to fry some cheese in it, and it burned right in the pan. I cleaned it out and tried to fry the egg again and that burned and everything else in the pan that I cook burns and sticks to the bottom of the pan. In order for me to cook anything in it, I have to put oil in it to cook. A piece of junk.

Consumers beware. We purchased ours at Canadian Tire, near Barrie, Ontario. The first week of use the middle of the $50 pan turned brown discoloration. Now it is full of scratches, so much for the ad details saying it's scratch proof. BALONEY! EVERYTHING STICKS TO THE MIDDLE. The stovetop heater is NOT 500 degrees, on medium heat.
I am so very disappointed in this purchase. It NEVER performed the way the ad showed. We used to have Teflon pans and they still work. We will be pitching this pan. It does not fry to our delight. We don't even know how to go about getting our money back. We no longer have the receipt. So it's $50 down the sewer.

The non-stick does not last, and when it wears off, these are by far the WORST pans I have ever used. I wasted my money and my time over the phone buying the pans. The commercial is a big lie.
