Impressed!

By Brad Knott, Greenwood, SC, Verified Reviewer

When I first heard about Hubble, I was skeptical about what the quality of the contacts might be, but I liked the idea of being able to get them shipped to me directly each month and not getting locked into a long-term deal.

Not only is this a very convenient way to get my contacts, they are much less expensive and I find the quality and comfort of my Hubble lenses to be superior to the name brand I had been paying an arm and a leg for!

I still wear glasses a good bit, and I love that I can stop and start my orders when needed. Very happy customer!

Great quality and life changing

By Sean Attwood, San Antonio, TX, Verified Reviewer

Having access to high quality and easy to use daily lenses at an affordable price is a life hack in its own. Thank you, Hubble, for an amazing product that just plain makes my life easier. It is worth the low monthly price for sure, and I'll recommend to friends and family.

Hubble Contacts

By Ashlee Britton, Orlando, FL, Verified Reviewer

Hubble Contacts are good. They are an easy company to work with, and they are helpful. One time I had a problem with the time that the contacts were supposed to come, so they were able to postpone it and ship the order another time. It is super easy to reschedule the times they ship, and it is also easy to defer the shipment to the next month. The quality is good, I've only had one contact rip in the almost year I've been using them. I would overall recommend them to others.

Very convenient

By Austen L, California, Verified Reviewer

Hubble is very convenient. I’ve had some quality issues with the contacts, but the Hubble customer service was great and they replaced them. It’s so nice to have contacts shipped right to your door. You’ll never run out of contacts. Overall, it’s a convenient service with good contacts.

Bad product, bad experience

By Gertrude Perkins, Oxford, United Kingdom, Verified Reviewer

I've been wearing lenses for over 10 years, but prices had, of late, begun to bite. In 2015 I tried DaySoft and after a couple of months started getting recurring eye infections. My optician was horrified and prescribed Biotrue, warning never to get cheap knock-offs again. But austerity is as austerity does, and I was tempted back in by the pretty pastel packaging and user-friendly website of Hubble.

My free box arrived, and it really was pretty, but the lenses turned out to be horrendously uncomfortable! Worse even than DaySoft. You feel like you have grit in your eye from the first hour, and your eyes water uncontrollably at half hour intervals. Not conducive to being in public or trying to get anything done without looking like a weeping lunatic.

I was set on canceling my subscription (which I'd skipped by a few months because I hadn't plucked up enough self-hatred to use up the free box) when an unmarked parcel arrived at my home. I didn't know what was in the box so opened it (duh!), and it was a whole month's worth of Hubble contacts, which I had no intention using. Then I remembered the policy outlined on their website which says once the OUTER PACKAGING of a parcel has been removed, even if lenses inside haven't even been taken out of said outer packaging, it cannot be returned or refunded. These are a total waste of money and genuinely bad for your eyes. They market their 100% recyclable packaging, well, what cardboard box isn't fully recyclable?

I encourage you all to have some self-respect and stay away from Hubble - nothing is worth that level of discomfort.

Worst customer service

By James Fanjul, Salt Lake, UT, Verified Reviewer

You better hope they get everything right the first time, otherwise, good luck getting anything resolved!

My order kept getting rejected for the free trial box, and they kept sending me emails stating that I needed to contact my doctor for further inquiries. My doctor was completely lost because they kept doing everything on their end (after multiple attempts) to verify my RX with Hubble Contacts. My RX was even emailed to their customer support email address, but for various reasons, they kept telling me that they couldn’t do anything about an order that had already been canceled, but if I made a new order, they would take care of it.

Again, myself and my doctor did everything only to have it rejected again. Upon further inquiry, Hubble Contacts told me they couldn’t provide a specific reason as to why it was canceled, but if I tried again, it would get fixed.

Kept doing it again and again, and now not only am I very frustrated, but my doctor's office is fed up with all my phone calls and the amount of time they keep putting into verifying my lense RX with Hubble Contacts.

Their email addresses may have phone numbers at the bottom, but if you actually call the number, you’ll get a voicemail explaining that the number has no real purpose and they don’t even check the messages. If you don’t believe me, try calling it for yourself: 1-844-482-2531.

They sent me emails asking about my experiences with their employees and I kept rating them with the lowest rating explaining I needed some help, but no one else ever responded and I am now making an effort to review them here.

I would really like to try their contacts and have heard good things from people who currently use them, but be warned - if you have any hiccups in the order process then you will be doomed to a path of frustration and people who really don’t care (apparently they have a large enough customer base that they don’t need to).

Love them!

By Allison Seiders, Vernon, CT, Verified Reviewer

By far the best contacts I have owned. I need dailies and these work perfectly. Cheap and ship fast. I honestly can't imagine my life without Hubble in it. I just had to call to update my script, and my call took all of five minutes! Not to mention, since it was my first time changing my script, I got a free month of contacts! Day has been made! Thank you so much Hubble!

Not worth it

By M G., New York, Verified Reviewer

This is just like MAST chocolate...cute package mediocre chocolate.

Terrible lens quality, terrible customer service, and terrible options for astigmatism. Not worth it. Set up a subscription through another eye-wear provider!

Fine contacts, difficult to opt out

By Robin Weiss, Louisville, KY, Verified Reviewer

The contacts are fine, nothing fancy, and the convenience is nice. I really disliked that you could only call during 9-5 ET to cancel. It also had to be during the week etc. In this day and age, it's about them making an extra buck rather than some obstacle. This means that they just keep charging you and you forget until it's 10 pm and you think you'll remember and you forget until you've spent at least another $30, times how ever many months that works that way. I'm annoyed by this business model, and it wasn't spelled out clearly from the get-go.

What a scam!

By G, Washington DC, Verified Reviewer

I ordered a $3 two-week supply of lenses on 4/9/18 and received the order on 4/20/18. I tried the first pair of lens on 4/21/18 and didn’t like the lens; not as sharp as I’d like. I didn’t plan to continue the subscription but I checked my account today, 4/25/18, and I was billed $33 for lens. I contacted Hubble today for a refund and to cancel the subscription and was told a one-month supply was already shipped and I’d have to wait to receive the shipment and mail back it before a refund could be issued. What happened to the two-week trial period? This appears to be a shady practice. Not only am I not satisfied with the product, but I find Hubble’s way of conducting business unsavory.

Not thrilled with contacts or process

By Keely Fogarty, Florida, Verified Reviewer

I did the trial because I’m trying to figure out if I use my eye doctor or try a different company. I got the free trial set of 15 contacts and only wore one pair because I did not like them. Then I noticed a charge for $33 for the subscription, which I did not purposely enroll in because I wanted to test the contacts before deciding Hubble was right for me.

I personally am not thrilled with them at all. After 7 hours of wearing them, my eyes are as dry as they were in hour one as they are in hour 7. I've worn contacts since 2005, and these contacts make my eyes feel like I’m wearing old contacts or have driven through the night with my contacts in. Instead of noticing the charge on my account, I wish there would have been an email from Hubble to let me know that I would start the subscription before I was charged and the boxes actually went out. Or an email asking me how I felt about them! I was unaware that a subscription started from the trial. I only have two emails from Hubble, the shipping email (with no disclaimers) and my cancellation order.

I’ve also tried a free trial glasses from Warby Parker and I feel much more cared for from them than with Hubble. WP let me know the glasses were coming, they got them back when I shipped them back, then a week later they followed up to make sure I was still interested in the glasses before I decided to order them.

I think this process could improve greatly with a follow-up email asking me what I thought about how the contacts felt, how long did I wear them, what worked and what didn’t, did my eye stay moist, etc. Eye care is not exactly something to rope someone in to, and I’m not super thrilled about how this process took place.
