Want my money back

By Adrienne C., Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

What a waste. I purchased three different size pans and only one of them is performing as advertised. I always have to use oil or cooking spray in one, and the other has burnt-on residue that stuck the second time I used it and won’t come off. Save your money and stick with Teflon.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Sticks like glue

By Sharon C., Pennsylvania, Verified Reviewer

I have a good set of stainless cookware but thought I would try this pan for eggs only. I like my eggs poached rather than fried. Who would have ever expected that you would have to spray it with nonstick spray before poaching? Everything sticks to this. I tried to make an omelet for breakfast this morning, and it was disastrous. I had to start all over again but this time I sprayed it. I prefer to use my stainless over this because I have to spray no matter what and stainless is probably less toxic than these pans.

Not a good product. I couldn't find an email address to email them, but from what I have read they don't respond anyway. Going to trash to My Treasure Sale. Maybe they'll have better luck.

The number on the handle - 6121A.

Buyer beware

By Preston Versaci, Hollywood, FL, Verified Reviewer

I received this pan as a gift and after three months the food kept sticking to it. I called customer service today and was told since it was a gift there is no warranty on the product. REALLY! I was told I would have had to buy a warranty if it was a gift. I wish I could post a picture of my pan. I did post it on Amazon Review. I'm going to locate every website that allows reviews and let people know this little fact.

P.S. Hey Gotham, let's see you do the right thing. I sure don't hear you telling your audience this on the TV commercials.

Not as advertised

By R Marche, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, Verified Reviewer

Purchased new, it already had a small scratch. It is developing small scratches with use. I do not use any metallic utensils. I cooked steak in it yesterday (square frying pan) and everything stuck to it. What a sham! What a rip off!

Gotham Steel Frying Pans

By Barry Earl Minnick, Florida, Verified Reviewer

Please avoid purchasing any of these Gotham Steel frying pans. I purchased one, only had it a few months, and chips and marks began to show up in the bottom of the pan! I never use anything but plastic spatulas or wooden spoons in the pan, but the marks began to show up, and the coating has disappeared!

These pans ARE NOT GUARANTEED, and I sent several email messages, along with accompanying pictures of the bottom of my pan to the company, but all have gone unanswered. I guess the company does not care after you purchase one of their pans.

BEWARE, Gotham does NOT stand behind their merchandise, and will not bother to even answer you! Choose another pan!

Paint peeling of crisper rack.

By Kalo'lin Sheppard, Flat Bay, Newfoundland, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I am very disappointed with the crisper rack; the paint came off it after I used it a few times. I cooked battered fish, which stuck to the rack and then when I washed it with just a dishcloth in soapy water, the paint is starting to come off of the wire! I am heartsick because I did like the way it cooked french fries and chicken burgers but to have the paint come off after only a few times of use is a complete waste of money.

Worst pans ever

By Carla Heskett, Kimbolton, OH, Verified Reviewer

I purchased a large set of these pans and they are the worst pans I have ever owned. They all stick. I followed the instructions to season the pans and it didn't make a difference. A total rip off.

How do you change the polarity so food doesn't stick?

By Roger Ortega, Houston, TX, Verified Reviewer

The first couple of times I used the pan, it was great, but after a few uses it started warping and my food began sticking.

This is nothing like what I saw on TV, and it's not because I miss-used it in any way because I use plastic spatulas and set the burner at low or medium heat depending on what I cook, like my eggs I like them runny, my meat medium rare or pink in the middle.

Needless to say, I am so disappointed, as are my friends when they come over. I'm hanging on to my old faithful cast iron skillet.

Good for the 30 days

By George Broomfield, Williams Lake, British Columbia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

After the 30-day warranty, everything starts to stick to the pan. They are awful. We purchased our set at Walmart. When I cook eggs in the fry pan, they always stick. I need to put oil in and that doesn't help sometimes. When I cook things in the saucepan now, things seem to stick there also. I have to soak the pans to get stuff stuck on it off. Like I say, it was nice as they advertised and then got worse and worse. Now I am going back to my Tefal pans.

Disappointed

By Diana Searls, Dayton, OH, Verified Reviewer

We bought a set of these pans. When we first used them, we loved them! An egg would literally slide out of the pan as we were serving it. We have had them a little over a year, and now that is no longer the case. In fact, everything sticks to the point that we have to soak them to get them clean, even if we have used butter or olive oil. We are using a gas range, and the coating on the bottom of the pans has worn off considerably. I DO NOT like them!

Company is slick, pan is not

By Rich Ortlieb, New Jersey, Verified Reviewer

WOW, what a mistake buying this piece of crap. On TV it works great, but I happen to live in the real world. I don't really care what you try to cook in this pan, it just blows. Saving grace is that I took it back to Bed Bath & Beyond and they said no problem, done deal.
