I’ve been with Scentbird for about three months now, and I like it. It does take a while to get my scents, but it’s so worth it due to the size I receive. I’ve only received one scent that I really don’t think is my scent, and I’m thankful for this service because I would be so mad to buy the full-size bottle.

Scentbird is amazing

I have been using Scentbird for over a year and absolutely love it. I've discovered tons of new favorites and gotten cute travel sizes, too. There are some scents that smelled great in the store, but didn't smell so hot after a few hours of wearing. I used to buy them after spritzing in the store, only to be disappointed by the smell as it developed through the day. With Scentbird, I get a great size to use for a month and really see how I feel about it before purchasing a full size. I have also tried fragrances I might not have tried before and branched out to new scents from my favorite designers. I really love this sample program and couldn't recommend it enough.

My perfumes

This was the greatest idea anyone ever had. I can’t wait each month to try my new scent, and it’s all without spending a fortune. Each perfume is a new experience and I love it. Friends think I have a spent a fortune on all these scents and are surprised when I tell them about Scentbird.

Nasty smells

I have thrown away the past three months of perfume sample because they are absolutely horrible! The Clinique perfumes smell like smokers and old ladies. The MALIN+GOETZ smells so bad. I have thrown away $45 worth of perfume away because they smell so bad. If next month's perfume smells like the past three months, I will be canceling my membership.

Update

It has now been ten days since I sent in a ticket to Scentbird, and all I've gotten from them is an auto-reply that keeps asking for the credit card number used to make the purchase. I can't provide that because it was a PayPal purchase, which I only did because they offered the $13 deal. The perfume was great, but the customer service though is horrible.

Not getting items

I have not received my items on three occasions. And I received a duplicate on one occasion. I am not happy with the service, and the site is hard to navigate and sign in. I would appreciate it if Scentbird would fix these issues.

Too bad I cannot order the same fragrance two or more months in a row

I really do love the service of trying new fragrances or ordering a favorite scent. But recently I tried to order the same perfume two months in a row and was told I had to wait another six months to reorder the same scent from the prior month. I am guessing this is a new policy because I have done this before and was very happy to be able to do that. Is there a reason for the change?

I really enjoy Scentbird

I love my subscription to Scentbird for two reasons.

One, makeup is EXPENSIVE, and perfume is extra expensive, but you spend a relatively small amount monthly to try high-end perfumes without the big bottle commitment. I like that it is delivered to me; no going out to the mall and fighting crowds.

Two, it's a treat a luxury I don't need it, but I like it. It's fun, and it's a nice way for me to pamper myself without spending tons. A bonus is if I don't like the scent I tried, I give it to a girlfriend that I know will.

I really do love Scentbird.

Great way to sample

I love the updated option to receive three fragrances a month. It allows me to try out more fragrances faster and I love having more than one new option a month. The size is large enough for me to try the scent a few times and see how it mixes with my body chemistry before I decide to buy or not buy a larger size. The small size with a case is also a great way to introduce designer fragrances to a teen as a gift to carry in her purse.

Overall I really enjoy Scentbird, but if I could change anything, I would have a 5-month option. Right now I will not get through my entire queue until 2020. With all the new fragrances coming out, more options a month would be worth it.

Always happy to receive a new cologne each month.

I first heard of Scentbird from a few friends' posts on Facebook and was hesitant at first, but decided to try it out.

My favorite scent so far is "Fat Electrician." The bottle had leaked and something was wrong with the pump mechanism, so I contacted Scentbird, to which they happily replaced the bottle.

My friends and neighbors are always asking me what new colognes I've received and I'll let them go through the various ones here. I've tried to get them to sign up with these guys, even offered to help them with the easy process, but they just are hesitant for their own reasons or don't have the finances available to become members, unfortunately.

I hope to stay a long time member of Scentbird myself. With an income that doesn't cover my rent fully and an account that charges overdraft fees, it gets costly, but I'm still hanging in there.

Scentbird, if you guys could come up with a cologne to help with depression, that would be my favorite pick.

Wonderful experience

I’ve only been a member for about six months but so far have really enjoyed it. I was only disappointed once when I didn’t find my fave scent, but have come to love the new scents that I’ve tried. I was pleased to find a couple of new signature/go-to scents and have gotten quite a few compliments. The price range is perfect, and for the most part, the options are too. Love it.

Don't waste your money

I first joined Scentbird back in September 2017 after seeing a Facebook video on them. I couldn't wait because the girl kept saying "they sent three each month" and it was sponsored by Scentbird. However, after joining, putting my card info in, it turns out they only send one per month, and that three is for the people they sponsored who make the videos. So it was misleading. I canceled right away, and they still charged my card and sent a tester.

Fast forward to December. I wanted to look on the items for my order info, so I reactivated so I could get it (it wouldn't let me any other way), then canceled right away. Guess what appears in the mail? Yep, another bottle. And my card was charged again.

Ok, whatever. But the problem is the perfume in the testers isn't real, or it's highly watered down.

So I do have actual bottles of perfume I love. I have Armani Code, D&G Light Blue, Escade, and if I spray before work or going out, I can smell it all night.

The tester bottle they sent me was Burberry. I sprayed it like I normally do my other real bottles, and by the time I get to work, nothing. You can barely smell a whiff of it on my sleeve, but that's it. My bath and body mist is better than that tester.

My opinion is, they are scam artists.

The fragrances are provided to us by authorized vendors, or by the brands directly. Scentbird simply repackages the fragrances into our signature packaging so that we can offer our monthly service, but this should not affect the fragrance or the staying power of the fragrance. That said, I'd like to add, fragrances lasting power and it's scent is personal to each body.

As for the fragrance options, I'm sorry for the confusion caused. We offer 1, 2, or 3 fragrances monthly and you always have the option to upgrade at any time. Obsessed

I absolutely love Scentbird. I friend recommended it to me over a year ago, and I've been with it ever since. I've recently upgraded to getting three a month, and I am crazy about my growing collection. I've found so many favorite scents, and have been fortunate to love many, like most, and give away only three that I weren't for me. I feel like a kid at Christmas running to the mailbox when I know my perfume is coming. Shipping does take a long time, but it's worth the wait.

Win-win

I wasn’t sure about Scentbird at first because you can’t smell through your computer or phone, but because you could cancel at any time, I thought I would give it a try. Turns out I love it. Easy and unique online service

I filled my queue in advance with 36 scents I wanted to try. I love receiving a new scent in the mail every month; it's like a little treat for myself even though I know it's coming and I anticipate what scent it will be. Sometimes I rearrange my queue based on my seasonal mood.

Scentbird's website is so easy to use! The descriptions of each scent are spot-on and detailed. I have discovered several new favorites thanks to Scentbird. I cannot imagine buying another perfume at a store without having tested it thru Scentbird first.

Keep up the awesome products, memberships and customer loyalty rewards Scentbird!

So-so

Have fun trying to pick out a scent on this site. I get emails back that make it sound so simple, I'm sure they designed it, but it's not user-friendly. Whenever it does work, I pick a fragrance I hope I won't be wasting money on. No samples here, I just have to do a potluck. The rest I just give away to the church box.

Scentbird review

I have been receiving Scentbird for over a year now and I have only received 3 scents I actually have used! I contacted the company but nothing was done. I am hoping things can get worked out or I will have to cancel.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Love the service

I have been a Scentbird customer for almost a year. I have been a subscriber to a couple of different companies. Scentbird by far is my most favorite as they send me products based on my likings. I always get my product on time, and I just love the products. I have not come across any item I have not cared for. Thank you for developing such an easy way to determine which fragrances I like instead of having to spend an afternoon at a perfume shop smelling all kinds of fragrances.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Customer service is the only downfall

I love the products, and have been subscribed for a year now and never had any problems, until my December order. I usually receive my order on time third week of the month no problem, but in December, I did not. Trying to get in touch with someone (via email, which is the only way) was taxing, to say the least. After explaining the issue to them, they said they would look into it.

I finally got a shipping notification on January 2nd (Yay!), so I sent a reply back to thank them and let them know I received shipping info and to make sure that my actual January order (which I’ve already been charged for, so she better be on time) wouldn’t be affected by this hiccup. Well, it’s January 10th and there is no response. Also, I still haven’t received my December order.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Thank you for writing us an honest review about your experience! I know this response is a year late but I would like to apologize as this is not the service level we wanted you to have. We had shipping delays last year during the final stage of our warehouse transition and this affected many of our subscribers. I'm sorry for any frustration this may cause, but I can definitely assure you that we've been actively working on improving our shipping processes and communication for the last few months :) We were also a very small (but quickly) growing team back then but we now have a dedicated team to each of our support channels!
