Loose stools

My dog loves the food but the only problem is that his poop has become extremely loose. Will this improve when he takes it for a while? Still giving him his dry food mixed with Nature's Blend.

AMAZING...yet PRICEY

I have a 2-year-old Coton de Tulear who is 7.6 lbs. He has been on raw freeze-dried food for his whole life...high end only, no Petco, just boutique shops. He has NEVER responded to food like he did to this one! NEVER. He DEVOURS it...EVERY single time. I don't even have to put the raw broccoli or sliced baby carrots or anything else healthy that he loooooves. THIS FOOD IS AMAZING...he doesn't leave ANY of this in his bowl as he used to with the other top drawer food. MAN, though...given that, 16 ounces goes MUCH faster than I thought, so the price is a bit to consider. Please, I have to purchase $100 at a time to save shipping. Wish they would come into stores.

Dogs love it!

Our dogs love the handful of Dr. Marty’s Nature’s Blend we give them twice a day. As a matter of fact, one of our dogs will not start eating until his Dr. Marty’s Nature’s Blend food is on top of his regular kibble!

The reason I gave this food only 4 stars is due to its very high cost. As retirees, we simply cannot afford more than a handful added to the dogs’ regular meal. Wish we could, though...they love it!

Positive changes with Dr. Marty Nature’s Blend

I have been using Nature’s Blend for 5 weeks with my 7-year-old Shi Tzu and 1-year-old Maltese. Both transitioned to this food without any digestive issues and they love to eat it. With feedings twice a day, I have noticed with the older dog, more energy and her coat has gotten thicker and glossy. The younger puppy was full of energy before switching to Nature’s Blend, but I noticed that her coat is more soft and shiny as well. Feedings are definitely a treat for both! I feel that the feed formula is spot-on for their needed nutrition. It is easy to prepare by adding water and is well packaged for freshness. I wish larger bags would be available that are double the current size. So far I am pleased with the results that I am seeing in both of my dogs!

Not a good experience for my 10-year-old shelter cats...

My husband and I adopted 2 10-year-old shelter cats. One is blind and has high blood pressure. The other is old but they needed to stay together. We were happy to step in and give them a home. I want these cats to have a good life. I tried Dr. Marty's food and they would not eat it. I mixed it with their other food. I tried for several days. I determined that this is not the best "fit" for these cats. It may be a great product for some pets. It was a hassle to return and I sent it back priority mail, insured. I hope it works for other pets. It just did not work for my new "senior cats."

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

They don’t sell their product, they shove it down your throat. The system is designed to promote more and more bags at the checkout. If you buy 3 bags, it pops up that "make it six and you will pay less". However, your order would be 9 bags and you’ll be charged for 3 bags separately and 6 bags on top of those three.

THEY WON’T PAY FOR YOUR RETURN SHIPPING.

There are too many other companies with better product and customer service. I’m sorry to give Dr. Marty business!

Food was liked

Sparky liked the food just fine but there were no visible improvements to his life. I fed him this diet for over half a year and don't feel it is worth the cost I was paying. Going back to his old brand.

Love love love it!

My 16-year-old Terrier is soooo picky about all foods! Sometimes she will go a day or two without eating! I was sooo nervous about getting her Dr. Marty's food but I bought the 3 bags because it would be cheaper than 1 at a time. Well, I discovered my girl LOVES the food and even though she wants more I can tell she isn't hungry and begging for treats or something else. She licks her bowl clean and now she looks forward to mealtime, which wasn't her usual behavior. I'm so happy for her that she now loves to eat and believe me I'VE TRIED many many high-end brands and continuously change her food that it upsets her tummy so. Thank you so much, Dr. Marty, for helping me and my girl find a food that she loves!

Totally unreliable service!

My last order was for $488 and I ordered it December 24, 2019, two weeks before I needed it. I got an email that it was shipped on December 27, but when I checked the tracking number on January 1 it said "status not available". I called the company and they blamed it on USPS, saying it should be coming soon. After seeing "status not available" again today (January 2), I called back. They offered to resend it, which would take another 5-7 business days, and they wouldn't even expedite the order, so I canceled and won't use them again! The sad part is that it's great food and my dog loves it, but they have poor business practices!

The reason I canceled today is because my previous order on September 22, 2019 for $449.70 got lost somewhere in their own warehouse, and unless I called to check I would never have received it. In the meantime, I had to buy some other food until her food arrived. They totally screwed up and the customer service person really apologized, but wouldn't expedite my order that time, either. In a 3-month period, I ordered $937.70 worth of dog food, and this company could care less whether customers/dogs get their food on time or at all. How can a company even operate like that? They pretend to care about dogs' health, but it's only about filling their own pockets! I would never, ever, ever spend this much on dog food, but I have been buying it solely for my dog's health issues. I just ordered another freeze-dried raw dog food that gets amazing reviews! It's also expensive, but hopefully, it will be healthy, quality food that she will love!

Your dog will die waiting

Though my dog enjoyed Dr. Marty's, they have terrible customer service and delivery takes so long - your dog might die waiting for it to arrive. My first order was ok - a bit of a wait. My second order never came, they reordered it, half of it came and I am still waiting for the other half to arrive. My order was placed on November 3 and I am still waiting for the second half of my order. I am sure Dr. Marty already got his money (and yes it is costly) but my doggies are still waiting for their treats. Also, the second order of dog food did not seem similar to the first and my dog does not like it as much. I will not be ordering from Dr. Marty once the rest of my order arrives.

My dog is in heaven!

I decided to try Dr. Marty's to see if it made a difference in my dog's vitality. It has! She is 10 years old and acts like she's a lot younger. I agree that it is expensive, however, I mix her old dog food with it so I am able to stretch it out. A 16 oz bag will last a week as opposed to 3 days. I feed her 1 full cup in the am and 1 full cup in the pm. She cannot wait to eat her food. She will often keep licking her bowl in hopes she might have missed something. She NEVER did that with her old dog food. Overall, I would like to find a more cost-effective freeze-dried food but have not found one that is as clean and simple as Dr. Marty's. Perhaps mixing with other dog food and not giving just Dr. Marty's might help with the cost for others. For my pooch, right now, I will keep doing what I am doing.
