Not safe movements or supplements, scummy salespeople

By Jim B., Rochester, NY, Verified Reviewer

I purchase the V Shred workout program and nutrition plan on June 4th and requested it to be canceled and refunded on June 5th. The reason for the cancellation is because the workout program is not physiologically safe. I did further research to see if V Shred offered other alternatives, and I found many others with the same issue. I was not able to see the workouts before purchasing.

For the nutrition plan, they sell it as a custom plan that you can work with the coach and change as needed. I requested the service on a Saturday and canceled on a Sunday. The automated response from the coach via email states that they don't work weekends; therefore, per their policy, no work was performed. This is perfectly fine; however, when I requested my account to be canceled, the coach stated that they could not provide a refund for the nutrition plan. He then uploaded the plan in an apparent effort to say that the service was already provided. The value that the company sells is the custom plan. They sent me a standard plan after I canceled.

I’d give negative stars if I could

By Noelle R., Dallas, TX, Verified Reviewer

I’d give negative stars if I could. If you're lucky enough to read this before your purchase, DO NOT give them money! I thought I was smart and read some reviews before I purchased. But apparently, I am an idiot because I ignored all the negative ones and purchased the “90-Day Fat Loss Extreme” and a “Custom 4-week meal plan” anyway. I honestly figured people had buyer’s remorse and were just complaining.

I felt safe buying because they had a 30-day money-back guarantee if you’re not happy. Well, what they do not tell you is that only a select few things qualify for this return policy. The meal plan does not. Shame on me for not looking up the fine print.

Anyway, turns out V Shred customer service is the actual worst. I have sent four emails to date, first one was 8 days ago with no response. I did get an automated email saying they’d respond in about 24 hours...obviously, that hasn’t happened.

The “custom meal plan” is a joke. It’s supposed to be four weeks of content, but instead, they assigned me to a trainer who appears very young, who made a 7-day plan and stated it was to be repeated for the four weeks. PLUS, the 7-day plan was not complete. She left multiple snack options open for my choice. It also had zero reflection of being built off of my body type and lacked any explanation of why the macros were calculated the way they were. I honestly think it was a “plug and chug” plan that is basic at best.

The workout plan is nothing special either. Bugs out sometimes and often doesn’t mark when you’ve completed a workout. You do have the option of a body weight “follow along video” workout or “in gym” option. Quality and content were not high in my opinion.

I gave this company the benefit of a doubt and never write negative reviews. But I am hoping to save anyone and everyone from wasting their money on V Shred. It’s absolutely AWFUL.

Zero stars? Scammers

By Peggy H., Florida, Verified Reviewer

- Takes money out via auto-shipments whether you agree to it or not.

- You may or may not get your products.

- Doesn't matter how many times you call, they don't stop till you change your bank info or put a stop at your bank.

- They've been debunked by professionals.

- Tons of poor reviews and complaints of a scam.

- Mel magazine for article.

- See YouTube for review videos done by professional bodybuilders and nutritionists.

- Has been going on for years, and now to me as well, unfortunately. When are they going to be held accountable? Something must be done!

- My petition is trying to get enough support to get Google/YouTube to ban this company so no more innocent hard-working individuals get scammed.

A 5.38 million dollar business and WE'RE getting scammed and that's just ok!? No! No more.

Stay away from them!

By Andrea C., Unknown, Verified Reviewer

They are a scam. I tried canceling after the next day I signed up. They didn’t respond to my emails until I file a dispute with my bank! Even though they have a 30-day refund policy on the 90-day plan, they lied to my bank, stating saying that they don’t.

Absolute scam that harmed a disabled veteran

By Heidi T., Harper, OR, Verified Reviewer

I signed up for the extreme weight-loss program but during the initial Zoom call, I was informed that the Accelerator Plus program would be a better fit. I was very clear that I am a severely disabled veteran from a helicopter crash and would need to speak to my trainer before I received exercises. I was told my trainer would contact me right away. Instead, I received a week-long PDF of exercises I cannot perform. The V Shred response was to tell me to try harder and give the program a better chance…as though I can do squats and lunges without a functioning leg if I just try harder!

I also received a week-long PDF meal plan. For $2300 that is it. The trainer did not further contact me until I requested cancellation, then the message she sent was blank. V Shred has refused to refund my money even though I have received no product at all. I have been crying every day because as a single mom and disabled veteran, I cannot afford several thousand dollars for a product I haven’t received. This is financially devastating. I am pursuing litigation, help from the media, and additional help through the ADA.

Buyer beware

By Sara D., Idaho, Verified Reviewer

If you want a hard sales pitch for expensive and unnecessary supplements, V Shred it for you. It is the worst. Don't let them upsell you on a fitness coach, read the reviews. It is a scam and you will not get what you paid for. It is really sad companies like this exist to take advantage of people.

VIP Coaching program is a scam

By C B., NL, Verified Reviewer

During an intake meeting with V Shred's sales team, I was told that my metabolism was 1 out of 10 and with their VIP Coaching program I'd be able to increase it to 8 and continuously lose weight. Furthermore, in the program, I'd learn how to calculate my macros and create my own meal plan, and I'd lose weight by following a 100% personalized meal plan. They promised a refund of any product previously purchased with V Shred, and a Guaranteed Result policy for this as long as I'd always be in touch with my coach. I paid $1,500 and expected the $60 paid previously for another program would be refunded.

Firstly, I did not get a refund for the other purchases with V Shred — that was simply a lie. Secondly, there is nothing VIP about the program, nor "Coaching." The coach assigned to me was not aware of any of those promises, so they never taught me anything I paid for. The meal plan is not personalized and is just downloaded from the same database where people can have access for $120 or less. Nothing is customized.

Lastly, I have been in touch with my coach the entire time and expressed on multiple occasions the fact that the diet was not working (I ended the program with more body fat than I started). This was also mentioned in the Satisfaction Survey. The adherence check is a repetitive weekly check-in with the same questions: "How closely did you follow your meal plan? Not at all, somewhat, or very lose/exactly". On very few occasions, I checked "somewhat" if I would have a different meal during the weekend, and always discussed it with the Coach.

I was sold a program that does not exist and I didn't get any results with the program that does. V Shred is alleging that because I marked "somewhat" in some emails, it has been decided that I did not follow the program 100%, and so my refund was declined. That is their only argument and this isn't even in the refund policy.

They ignored all my other complaints. I want my money back as I didn't receive ANYTHING I paid for.

Very unclear terms/expectation

By La Shaun M E., Muskogee, OK, Verified Reviewer

From the beginning there exist lots of technical issues like not being able to get access to videos or information. Pricing is unclear, I thought it was 1/2 the price I was charged and then it was explained very differently what I was actually being billed for. Then I thought I was getting a 90-day meal plan but it turns out, even after paying the additional fee, the plan was for four weeks, which honestly is one week with you repeating the week for the additional 3 weeks.

The Facebook page is okay, but there isn’t a lot of info from a coach. Just others saying whether they are doing ok or not. Lots and lots of emails that are ads...I was extremely disappointed. The coaching consisted of me reporting my progress and a very generic "that a girl" if I did okay and no response, inspiration or additional advice for difficulties. You are also responsible to make sure you don’t slip between the cracks. I don’t feel I received what I paid for so, no, I wouldn’t recommend this to a friend, client or enemy.

Update

By Denise J., Pennsylvania, Verified Reviewer

6/28/19 - I have added a star to my rating. It means the product was "Not what I was hoping for,'' which is correct. But in the end, the company took a flexible position because it was clear they do not even sell a product that was suitable for me. I would have paid for the keto diet, but it was not available as a stand-alone item. They issued a full refund the same week, which was back in April. They need to improve their website, if they want to avoid reviews like mine.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
