Beware

My dad bought these last year, didn't like them, and gave me his whole order. I took them for about ten weeks and found that they basically affected me no more than a cup of coffee would. For sure no weight loss, even with eating better. These are an awful lot of money for basically zero payoff.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Ineffective

It sounded great, but after trying the product for one month (I ordered a six month supply), I noticed no change in my energy level. Zero. Zilch. Nada.

After a long time of taking a daily dose here and there, I decided to give it another chance and am well into my second month, but with the exact same result of no difference in energy levels.

That said, I'll probably finish off what I have, figuring that it can't do any harm.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

No benefit for me, and there was a hassle.

After a friend in his 70’s had told me about Vital Reds, I decided to try it.

I got a one-month supply and took it every day for about 40 days, which is because the jar had 40 scoops worth in it, one scoop per day. I saw absolutely no difference in energy or any other effect it claims.

Gundry MD claims you may experience a “charge of energy” as soon as your first day of use, with “dramatic” results after 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately, after 40 days of use, this didn’t happen for me.

I called for a refund, and the rep was very nice and helpful. I explained that they didn’t work for me and that I would like a refund. The process is I must return the empty bottle for the refund, which I read nowhere in refund policy. I did read that it is a “no questions asked refund with no hassle!”

So I have heard other products before talking about the return of unused portion for a refund, and again, I did not see this on their warranty.

I am a no-nonsense kind of person and was trying to figure out why do they need my bottle back for a refund? They will not use the bottle again and there is no product to return, even if there was, I’m sure they would not re-use it.

I told my rep I didn’t want to hassle finding a box, packaging and then take down to Post Office. I was then advised, I could get a 40% refund ($21) without returning the bottle. I reluctantly took this option because I didn’t want the “hassle” of returning the bottle.

I advised the rep that I had a problem with the wording of the warranty and that I would do an honest review.

I stated: This is a hassle returning the package, I probably still would have ordered the product, but it would have been nice if the warranty was true to the statement and there was no hassle. Male, Hawaii, 56, active and in good health.

I was also sent many emails trying to have me re-order more and offering his many other products or co-products, which I didn't care for.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Thieves

This company stole over $400 from my debit account on Sunday, February 4, 2018. I placed an order for a 3-month supply of Vital Reds. Then I received 3 "thanks for your order" emails; they processed two 6-month orders that I did not approve. Within minutes I called to cancel and they refused to do so claiming that the order had already left the warehouse. I do not trust this company; they are thieves!

Totally disappointed in support services

When I call the number given in the emails, it says it does not exist, and I sent numerous emails to support but received no reply at all! I want to cancel the special as it was a wrong click on purchase, and want to make sure they don't bill me for the future as I want this to be a once off purchase! No reply and they still processed my order. So disappointing as I thought they work for the customer's benefit.

Didn't work for me, refund policy hazy

I used the product for the full 90 days to give it the full benefit of the doubt. It did nothing for me at all. At first, it seemed to give me some energy but within a couple of weeks, nothing.

I did get a partial refund, but I think the return policy is a bit hazy. I was under the understanding that I could use the product for 90 days then if it doesn't work, it can be returned. The policy is actually, you must call before the 90 days is up. I used my product for the 90 days, wrote two emails which went unanswered, then finally called and was told I called too late!

I was actually going to try another Gundry product but will not try any other product or refer to friends. If you are going to stand behind your product, you need to stand behind it. Very disappointed.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Vital Reds experience

I used the first of three containers and began to experience a lot of acidity in my throat. I had previously been treated for mild GERD twenty years ago.

I contacted Dr. Gudry's website, explained my situation and a follow-up call was received. I explained my experience and was given a total refund.

There was no negativity involved in this experience which was a welcomed outcome. I consider my result from using the product to be due to my sensitivity to the ingredients. I was very satisfied with how my refund was handled.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Shipped a product I did not order.

Buyer beware. I recently purchased a prebiotic from Gundy MD. I tried to order the 12 containers of the same product and they sent me 12 containers of Red Vitals that I did not order. I went to the post office and mailed the product back. I incurred a cost of $18.70.

I called customer service explaining that I never ordered this product and I wanted them to cover the return postage. They refused. I could understand them not wanting to pay the return postage on a product I ordered, but they shipped me a product I did not order. I wish I would have never done business with these people in the first place. Their customer people are rude and unprofessional.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Refund process works

I tried Vital Reds and Lectin Shield, but neither had any effect. Vital Reds cost was refunded, waiting for the Lectin Shield refund. I can understand shipping not being refunded, but I do not appreciate having to pay out of pocket to ship back an empty bottle. I guess all customers are crooks until proven innocent. They say they recycle the bottle. I wonder exactly what that means.

The snake oil salesman "but wait there's more!" sales technique originally turned me off, but I tried the products anyway. I should have listened to my gut (no pun intended).

Mr. Gundry may have been a doctor once, but now he's just another salesman.

Vital Reds

The product tastes unnaturally sweet, as if an artificial sweetener has been added. I will be sending it back...it is awful! The concept makes sense, but the product does not taste natural and clumps up when mixed. Also, there is a large amount that remains at the bottom of the glass. I ordered three extra containers based on how it was advertised but cannot even conceive of finishing one of the containers (let alone six of them)!
