Don’t buy anything from them

They claim that the item is returnable and when you return the item they deduct the cost of the shipping from your money and they actually keep the refund as a credit store to force you to buy from more from them. The material is cheap. The size is off. The service is horrible. They are way, way expensive for their cheap material. I will never buy anything else after they stole my money.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Good website for experienced online shoppers

Contrary to many reviews I've read, I've always had good luck with Zulily. Each item has a size chart specific to the brand that they're selling (since they sell many different brands), which I found very helpful. You HAVE to look at the size charts, even for shoes! I've ordered all sorts of things from here over the past couple years - a coat, lingerie, shoes, a purse, and a dress, and the merchandise has always arrived well-packaged and mostly on-time.

I've only experienced their customer service once, but there was no issue. I had ordered a couple of bras through Zulily, and one of the colors was no longer in stock as they had thought, so they issued me an immediate refund, and the remaining bra was sent on time.

The only reason that I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that they use a multitude of different shipping companies, some of which I've never heard of, and the items often don't all ship at once, making it tough to track orders. This is the nature of a website that sells merchandise from other companies though, I imagine, so it's not a dealbreaker.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Very happy with Zulily

I have ordered many, many items from Zulily, with the understanding that they are, for the most part, nonreturnable. Not all the items have been as I would have liked, but I take the occasional loss because the prices are so good that I still end up ahead in the end.

A few months ago I had shoulder surgery, and while under the influence of some strong pain medication I placed an order, and was mortified a few weeks later when a box of beads arrived, at a cost of almost $800. I called customer service and explained the situation, and they were very understanding and refunded me every cent, even though 'non refundable' was clearly stated in the order. I was hugely relieved and continue a very satisfactory relationship with Zulily. They could have kept my $800, but they didn't and for that, and for many other great products, they deserve 5 stars in my opinion.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Best place to shop

I have been shopping on Zulily for the past two years and love it! The people leaving the bad reviews are incorrectly ordering and not reading the fine print or following instructions. Zulily buys in bulk. After a event ends they process all the orders to the vendors. The vendors ship to Zulily and Zulily ships to us. On everything you buy it tells you in fine print that it takes 2-3 weeks to ship. Once it is shipped to you it can take another week. 4 weeks total. Sometimes you get lucky and they receive the order sooner therefore you will receive it sooner. When ordering clothing they give you the size chart for that vendor and instruct you on how to measure.

Not all clothing company's have the same vendor. I also read on a review that they had received a knock off bottle of perfume. NOT TRUE! That would be illegal on there part and would never happen.

When ordering from Zulily you need to make sure you read the whole description of what you are ordering. What material it is made of. If it's cotton leave room for some shrinking. All my shoes and clothing are from Zulily. I have never had a issue with the shoes. Sometimes the clothing. When I do it is because I ordered wrong or it was the manufactures mistake. Zulily does not except returns but they will for sure work with you. The customer service is outstanding. They have the best prices on clothing and one of a kind items you will love. I have bought so much. I have 60 dresses and more than half are from Zulily.

Try Zulily and you will see how fun and enjoyable shopping can be from home. All my friends and family are hooked!

Love, love them

I've just finished all my Christmas shopping on Zulily. I've had to call customer service twice for mistakes I made. The first time I called to see if my almost $300 order could be canceled. I goofed on the sizes. They canceled all that was not in route. They credited my card before the end of the day and told me to donate the items I did receive! Today, I messed up something else. They fixed my problem before we hung up. Real people answer. They were so very sweet. The things I have donated have been great quality.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I love Zulily

Yes, shipping is slow. Yes, there is a no return policy. But the pricing is exceptional. I searched out some companies (wall pops and the mountain, for instance) and was amazed at how much I had saved through Zulily. I pay Walmart prices for clothing that is unique and playful for my three year old and she gets to choose it herself.

All my Christmas shopping was done through Zulily. I started in July. Two encounters with customer service, both issues resolved cheerfully and to my satisfaction.

Look at the prices, then go to the websites and compare. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Being ignored

So my experience with Zulily is as follows. I purchased high dollar items and was sent the wrong item, and I mean really wrong; color red instead of brown, and milky white instead of smoke or gray. I was told by two representatives that they would send me return information, but it never happened. Then the customer service manager sent me a survey to fill out and I got no return help there either. When I asked again, I got silence. Anyone have suggestions on how to get through to this company?

False advertisement

The item I saw so pretty online was not the same item that came to my house! It had a completely different pattern layout! The dress I got was tacky and not to be compared to the one shown online. Shipping takes three weeks for one item. Plus, they won't give me the option to return it, so I'm stuck with this tacky dress. I am never shopping there again.

Don't shop here

(1) Total violation of privacy. Zulily messaged me on Facebook, even though I did not use Facebook to sign up into their account, and I did not use the same login email for their account as I do for Facebook. They had to go out of their way to get my information. It is totally unacceptable that they should use an email address not actually given to them, or to contact customers via social media uninvited.

(2) I had my package sent to the address I was going to be at based on their stated shipment timeframe. Then I got an email saying that it was coming significantly sooner. Great. Except I was not going to be at that address when it arrived.

First, I called UPS directly to see if they could redirect my package. I was told that since it wasn’t exactly a UPS package, but rather a UPS Mail Innovations package that was going to be handed off to the post office, I had to call the shipper Zulily themselves.

I did. The lady who picked up punted to the post office. I asked if she could call them for me and redirect the package since they are the shippers. She claimed she couldn’t look up the phone number because non-work-approved websites can’t load on her computer.

First of all, does anyone else believe that this lady does not have her own smartphone from which to look this up if she really wanted to be helpful?

Secondly, I don’t know if I believe that she didn’t have access to the United States Post Office website, especially since every transaction they do with a customer involves some sort of shipment, and I’m betting many, if not all, involve the post office. How else are they supposed to keep on top of shipments themselves without a way to communicate with the post office from work?

I looked it up for her. She kept on waffling. She said she would try to call, and either way, she would update me.

I have had no updates. Do their phones also not work, then?

Another representative told me that they don’t have the authority to redirect packages. I do not believe this at all, you are the one who sent it, after all. And you have the tracking number, which is the only information you yourself give the customer, who would then be able to redirect packages. I suspect that what happened is, if she bothered to call the post office at all, she was told what I was by the postal office, that I had to pay $12 and get an additional priority mail label, so she didn’t redirect my package.

I can understand if the issue were my fault, but I chose my address solidly based on their own shipment timeframe. This wasn’t a difference of days, but weeks.

Based on such poor customer service (by which, I don’t mean an inability to handle an issue, but rather, the entire attitude was that it wasn’t something she wanted to handle at all) I don’t really see the point of doing business with this company, especially since this may result in the loss of package.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Harassing!

I ordered ONE thing from these harassing people that I had shipped to my job, and they immediately started sending to my workplace their UNAUTHORIZED advertisements! I called them immediately upon receiving the first postcard discount and told them to never, ever send another thing to my job! I was assured it wouldn't happen again. That was months ago, and today another postcard came! I will NOW be filing a legal complaint against this company, as well as take legal action against them!

Worst experience ever

Me and my friend bought a few dresses from Zulily. The size chart was so wrong. All the dresses were so big, the material was bad, and stitching was not good. I could see the joints if the fabrics were so uneven and I returned all the dresses. I had to pay $17 shipping for the returns, and they are going to deduct restocking fees, which is $2 each dress, so it will be $10 extra in addition to $17, plus $10, and shipping when I ordered was $7.95, so I lost a total of $35.95 for their mistakes. I have sent the dresses for more than 10 days and no refund yet. I hate to post this review but that’s what it is.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
