Customer Complaint

I would like to share my experience on BioTrust with other customers/prospective customers.

To be honest my complaint is an administration one and not with the products themselves. I am not at all happy with the way charges have been administered for products purchased from BioTrust. I originally ordered products via the website which should have totalled $174USD. I contacted BioTrust immediately by e-mail because order was incorrect as all of the boxes had been ticked on the website. I was offered 2 options for product and chose Option A which I confirmed and $84 was to be credited back to my credit card. To date this has not happened. My credit card was charged as $622.92NZD. Furthermore NZ Customs charged me fees on top of this of $197.94NZD which was equated on $735USD because BioTrust had charged this as the value of the goods.

I have been trying to sort this out with BioTrust and will also need to pay NZ Customs so I can get my goods released and then try to negotiate with them over the $735USD charged (by my calculations the total should have been $510USD.

So I guess it is fair to say I am not a happy customer.

NZ Customers need to be aware of the extra charges by NZ Customs on any goods over $400NZD. It does make purchase of USA products from BioTrust very expensive. Also it is recommended that you are vigilant over the charges that are charged to your credit card from BioTrust. It seems to be a very difficult and not user friendly process to get any over charges corrected.

One thing that I noticed in your review is that you mentioned that you accepted an $84 refund, but that had not happened. Although refunds happen immediately on our end, it can take up to 3 – 5 business days for them to be reflected on your statement. A credit to your account for $84 was issued in our system on April 9, 2015. I've sent you an e-mail with an image of the transaction history, including a reference number for the credit to your account.

Have you happened to reach out to your credit card company about this? This concerns me, and I want to make sure that this is fully taken care of.

With regard to your concerns about customs fees (i.e., duties and taxes), I am so sorry to say that this is completely out of our control, Colleen. All International orders are subject to applicable sales tax, duties, and customs charges that are determined by your local government and vary by country.

Duties, taxes, and/or customs fees represent an additional amount collected upon delivery of orders. Order confirmation details only the amount collected by BioTRUST. By law, duties and taxes shall are based on the full retail price of the products regardless of bundled pricing or other discounts on the order.

With that being said, in reviewing your customer notes, in addition to the refund, it’s my understanding that, as a courtesy to you our valued customer, our Customer Service team has offered you an in-house credit in the amount of the customs fees that you will pay for your shipment.

As far as the ordering process, I do want to confirm that we never add any additional products or charges to an order that are not approved by a customer. In other words, only products that are selected by the customer are added to the shopping cart, and the customer must approve the order by submitting credit card information and billing and shipping details. That said, your feedback is incredibly important to us, and I invite you to share any specific feedback that you may have on how we might be able to improve this for you and other customers in the future.

Biotrust smoothie powder

Biotrust is the real deal. I am type 2 diabetic and today before lunch (12:30pm), I checked my blood sugar and it was a whopping 215! Knowing I had already taken my Victoza that morning and had not had any sugar to cause this, I remembered the Biotrust, which I had only had for about a week. I grabbed the container of Strawberry/Banana and promptly put 4 scoops into 12 oz of water, shook it up and drank it down. At 5:30pm, I checked my blood sugar and it was a totally normal 111. The time-released smoothie had dropped my blood sugar 104 points, into the totally normal zone, in just 5 hours, without any other medicine. I am thrilled with this product and will try others since this worked so well today in my hour of major need. Biotrust, YOU ROCK.

Misleading promotional sign-up offer.

If you do their promotion, they sneakily sign you up for automatic shipments. I signed up for the promo looking out for any language about having to sign up for auto ship, thinking that was their scam. I didn't read anything and thought I'd give it a try because Lewis Howes was promoting this company and I found him credible.

They did automatically enroll me in an auto-ship and sent me an order and charged me for it. I emailed them, and a support rep got back to me very quickly, which I appreciated. I'm not satisfied with their refund offer, but I blame myself for not following my instinct, and if something sounds too good to be true, it is.

The product is of acceptable quality but not worth the price.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

That is an option that can be selected or declined during the checkout process. Along those lines, I'm sorry that you accidentally enrolled in the program and had to go through the trouble of deactivating your subscription. LeptiBurn weight loss.

I seem to have been traveling quite a bit in the last two years, which makes thing more difficult because I don't have as much control when I am eating in restaurants. Nevertheless, I have lost 113 pounds.

I am 74 year old, and at one time I was 6 feet 6 inches tall. When I started taking LeptiBurn I weighed 375 pounds and now I am 262-3. I would like to lose about another 50 pounds but I seem to be stuck at my current weight and, have been, for the last two months. Any suggestions?

Take a moment to think about that and bask with pride. Through your hard work and dedication, you, my friend, have achieved something enormous and life-changing.

My name is Tim Skwiat, and I am the Director of Nutrition and Exercise with BioTRUST Nutrition. On behalf of Josh, Joel, and our entire team, I’d like to congratulate you on the stellar progress that you’ve made, and I want to thank you for sharing your success story with us. I also want you to know that we’ll be here every step of the way to guide and support you as you continue to move forward on your journey.

Although you’ve seemingly hit a bit of a plateau in your progress, I encourage you to look at this as a very positive point in your journey. Think of it this way, Mr. Coy. Only about 25 percent of people who lose a substantial amount of weight (i.e., <10 percent of body weight) are successful in keeping it off. You, on the other hand, have successfully kept off 30 percent of your body weight for two whole months. In other words, I encourage you to view this plateau as a mini-maintenance phase, which demonstrates that you can successfully maintain your weight loss. That’s a BIG win!

With that being said, there are a few factors to consider when it comes to plateaus. First off, from a physiological standpoint, there are a number of adaptations that can take place during a weight loss journey. For example, in response to a reduced-calorie intake, the body has a number of energy-preservation mechanisms (e.g., reduced metabolic rate, increased hunger and appetite, decreased spontaneous physical activity, increased muscle efficiencies, etc.) that it calls on to help match energy expenditure with energy intake.

I know, that really stinks, but the body’s primary goal is to avoid starvation—not necessarily getting into great shape. Also, another factor to consider is that, as your body changes, so too does your physiology. For example, as you lose weight, the energy cost of every activity decreases. In other words, the program that got you where you are today may not be sufficient to get you to where you ultimately want to be.

This is why it tends to be beneficial to start clients at the highest food intake and lowest physical activity levels possible. This leaves plenty of room for progression during the journey. On the contrary, many folks want to start with the most restrictive diets along with exercising 6 – 7 days per week (sometimes twice a day). How is that sustainable? And when you do hit a plateau, how do you progress from there?

From a progression standpoint, when folks hit a plateau, they generally benefit then from a combination of reducing calorie intake and increasing physical activity. Again, we’d be looking for the minimal effective dose. In other words, the smallest degree of change that produces the desired result (e.g., increase exercise volume 1 – 2 hours, reduce calorie intake 200 calories per day, etc.). With that said, it would be helpful to have a better understanding of your current nutrition plan and physical activity program to make the best possible recommendations.

One additional point to note about plateaus that sometimes goes overlooked is that quiescent periods in weight loss (i.e., plateaus) often result from intermittent lack of adherence. In other words, folks have a tendency to be a bit more forgiving about their portion sizes, food choices, exercise (e.g., missing a workout), etc., and all of those little things can add up to stalled progress. In the overall scheme of things, adherence is king. With that in mind, it may be beneficial to review compliance to make sure that this is not an issue for you.

AND they want to sell you other products. If I wanted more products I would have ordered them. And they do this to preserve brain cells. I don't want more info. STOP already.

What a great company and product

I recently discovered BioTrust protein shakes, and they have changed my world. They have helped me start to lose weight, I love the silky smooth taste, and I look forward to enjoying 2 per day. I also recently received a shipment in error, an honest mistake, but you know how it can be when you try to straighten things out with a normal company. Well, I sent ONE email, and I received 3 back, apologizing, trading my original order for more of my order I meant to have, and a thank you note. I was dumbfounded. If every company worked like this we would have the best corporate world on the planet. Thanks BioTrust, I love your product, and your corporate attitude. You're the best.

Weight loss continues

Good morning BioTrust nation. Well, I had my second weigh in this morning. In my last post I stated I started my weight loss program on 1/2/15 weighing in at a whopping 282.5 lbs.

I am 6'1" and 59 years old. The first month I lost 21.2 lbs. Today was my second weigh in since starting my program. I lost another 8.9 pounds for the month of February. I believe it would have been more but I know I am putting on muscle mass from weight training. I alternate cardio and weights every day. I increased my weights five lbs for the month and can feel the muscle in my arms.

So all in all, it's been a very successful month. I am on the two shake a day program with a protein based dinner including snacks nuts and fruit. So far since January 2nd, I have lost 30.1 lbs. I'll be back in a month.

Helpful and satisfying products

I have been using a handful of BioTRUST products for over a year now. With a high protein and fat diet that is also heavy on veggies, I struggle with digestion and gas issues. AbsorbMax has been a lifesaver. This product alleviates stomach discomfort and decreases gas. I have been using Pro-X10 lately and it also seems to be helping.

Finally, the protein supplements are amazing. I use Milk Chocolate Low Carb every day because, not only it is delicious and filling, it is packed with a great blend of proteins for extended digestion. I will never buy another protein powder again! The Chocolate Chip Protein Cookies are also so tasty that I am starting to hide them from myself.

You get what you pay for!

OmegaKrill 5x

After 5 years of pain from arthritis I have been taking OmegaKrill 5x for 4 months. Then nirvana, suddenly pain has almost gone, also inflammation has almost disappeared. I have been taking many different supplements for years to no avail. I cannot say positively what this is doing, but I believe this works for me.

I also wanted to take a moment to address your comment about the EPA and DHA content of OmegaKrill 5X. On the Supplement Facts panel of the bottle (and on our website), you can find the amounts of each of these omega-3 fats. For instance, each daily serving (i.e., 3 softgels) contains a total of 456mg of EPA and DHA combined (64mg and 392mg, respectively). Sent shipment I did not order and took money

I ordered the trial for my husband. He was put in the hospital before ever getting to use it. This was on December 22, 2017. The first auto-ship was to be sent on January 31, 2018. I tried canceling the 2nd of January, 2018. They told me it had already been shipped and $78 was taken out of my bank account! I, of course, wasn't expecting this charge and it put my account negative. Customer service was zero help after several emails.

BioTrust cannot be trusted whatsoever! Now it's up to me to return the new shipment, which isn't here yet on January 7th. I have to pay the return shipping too!

TERRIBLE COMPANY.

I would like to submit this review on BioTrust products, service, and coaches.

First and foremost, this is a company you would want to work for! What an excellent, intelligent and responsive staff. From the outside, I am most impressed with the responsive of the coaches and nutrition staff. BioTrust does not want to "sell" you products you do not need. They are committed to providing products beyond industry standards and of the highest quality. Also, they are not solely in business to make a profit; they support charitable efforts like Make-a-Wish.

As far as products go, I have tried many. BioTrust Low Carb protein mix (vanilla is my favorite), BioTrust Organic Protein Bars - the Belgium Chocolate Chip probably my most favorite BioTrust product! I also enjoy the OmegaKrill 5X, LeptiBurn 2.0, BellytTrim XP, Metabo 379 and Cravefix 96. I am looking forward to trying the MetaboGreens 45X.

This is a well-run company with great products, and if you watch their website, you can often get discounts for excellent pricing. Overall, a great company with great products!

Why do they sell carbs?

I have learned that the fewer carbs we ingest, the better off we will be. They even state in their "Milk Chocolate" that there are "only 4g of Net Carbs Per Serving." Why should we add any health product that clearly states that it contains carbs?

Doesn't a normal person receive enough carbs from vegetables?

BioTrust, I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts about this. I have been buying and taking your BioTrust for at least one year.

I have run many marathons. As a result of that, I literally abused my knee to the point of undergoing a few microsurgeries, namely a nerve entrapment surgery, tendonitis surgery, and I have spurs that are causing a nagging pain when I run. My cartilage is also gone (of late through ultrasound, it is beginning to grow according to the doctor). I sense it when I walk and run.

I have been taking Joint 33X for almost 6 months. My daily routine is one in the morning and one in the evening.

Sometimes I feel my joints are weak and I cut short on my grass run. Sometimes there is a grinding sound when I run.

Is there any advice you can assist me with to address the aforesaid issues?

Results with Belly Trim

I have a really good report for you on BellyTrim: So far, since June 6 I've lost 1 inch in girth at my waistline and 3 inches at the hip, where my belly bulges the most. That's just 5 weeks! I'm starting to feel much better now, more energetic, and have taken walks for the past 2 days.

My husband is taking BellyTrim too. He eats more than I do, but is very active with walking to do errands and working in our yard. His progress is not so dramatic, but he thinks some of his pants are a little looser. We will continue to take it, and we'll let you know how we're doing in a couple of months.

Great return policy

I did the one that was most convenient for me. If the products work for you I think you're dealing with a great company.

Great product

I have bought several of BioTrust products. I have been satisfied with everything I have bought. Yes, they tend to be expensive, but you get what you pay for. In fact, I am in the process of ordering more products. Until I receive a bad product, I will continue buying.

I just received ProX10. I have lost weight and inches. My only complaint would be about the chocolate chip cookies, my husband and myself don't care for them, so I won't be ordering any more of those!

Weakness from taking this product

Soon after I started taking this product, I experienced muscle weakness and fatigue. The muscle weakness reminded me of overworking my muscles in a workout. After I stopped taking the product my strength improved and within a week I was back to normal.

Superior Service and Product

Several months ago, I stumbled upon BioTrust while looking for a great tasting protein powder that was also high quality, and I found it. The Low-carb Time-Released Protein Blend is awesome. I have tried both the vanilla and chocolate, and they are far better tasting than any other product I have tried. Not only that, I look forward to having a smoothie (that is how good they taste). They even sent me a book with 53 recipes for smoothies, so you don't have to just have a plain vanilla or plain chocolate smoothie. I am not sure how long they will be giving that away for free, so get on it people.

I also recently had a question/request from the company and called the customer service. I know what you're thinking.. "uh oh.." nope. They were awesome. Not only was he friendly, but the customer service representative worked so hard and so quickly to help me out. I was expecting someone to just read from some script saying they couldn't help me, but that was not the case. In my opinion, BioTrust has incredible products with fantastic service. I would highly recommend them.

My Honest Review Of Bio Trust Products & Support Teams

Thank you for the opportunity of reviewing BioTrust Nutrition products and their support teams. I am a retired Banker, aged 70, from the UK. I had 40 years experience in Business & Commerce, writing many reports and reviews on many businesses.

I am overweight, with elevated blood pressure and border-line diabetes. Through an excellent weight loss Plan for Life, I have lost weight (28 lbs) but more importantly, from that plan learned the importance of controlling your body's Leptin and Insulin. Leptin is the signal your body sends to your brain, that you are replete and no need to keep eating. Insulin obviously controls your blood sugar levels and the effects of not doing so, are very well known.

Although the diet starts to address that imbalance, the creator of that plan highly recommended using BioTrust products – Leptiburn (does what is says on the tin) and IC-5 for reducing Insulin resistance. These have greatly boosted the effects as well as encouraging my body to burn fat not sugar.

I had cause to contact the BioTrust Customer Service Team to help track my products to the UK. I remembered reading somewhere, that their service reputation was second to none. A label they truly deserve. My interaction with the BioTrust Forum team was a totally unexpected, but huge bonus, In the past, I have never felt inclined to become a member of a forum, but I count my blessings so I joined this one. Not only is it good to interact with fellow dieters and sufferers, but the genuine and heartfelt advice from the Forum Team, is inspirational, informed and they are totally dedicated to helping their members achieving their health goals.

My commitment to my diet plan is for life, as it is to BioTrust and the forum.

Into 2nd week and doing really good

I am a retired mother of 3, grandmother of 6 and great grandmother of 3 and in my 60's. I have tried countless weight loss products and services only to fail and feel defeated. I am now following the BioTrust plan. I am using LeptiBurn, IC-5, Omega Krill5X and Low Carb Time-Released Protein Blend. I am into my 2nd week and have lost 4 pounds but what makes me even happier is how my clothes are fitting; I am losing inches as well. I have 2 milkshakes a day and either a good lunch or dinner and I never feel hungry. I know that with this program I will succeed.

Keep some perspective.

I've read through many of these reviews and notice that a recurring theme is dissatisfaction over the upselling, the lengthy videos, and the volume of emails you get. --I'm not going to lie, I don't like to sit through the videos, and sometimes it can be annoying to receive so many emails. I am usually not susceptible to upselling, and it's fairly easy to simply click the "no thanks" link.

The important questions are: Does BioTrust provide a quality product? Do their products work as intended? When an issue arises, does the BioTrust team respond timely and do their best to correct any perceived wrongdoings?

Based on my personal experience, the answers to all of the above are YES. I researched the company for a long time before I ordered anything because I am super paranoid about being scammed; and yeah, I did find that they had a few BBB complaints and I was able to find a few negative reviews. But when I actually read the complaints, they were about things like shipping or trying to return their product and somehow thinking they were told they couldn't. The complaints had nothing to do with the products themselves or their safety or effectiveness.

In every single complaint I found on the BBB, and in most of the negative reviews I have been able to find, BioTrust has gone out of their way to honor their promises, try to make customers happy, answer questions, respond to concerns, and correct any misinformation. It isn't BioTrust's fault if some people simply can't be pleased - goodness knows they are doing everything they possibly can.

Specific to the product I have tried - LeptiBurn - I really like it a lot. It doesn't make me feel jittery or tweaked- out, in fact it doesn't really make me "feel" anything. What it DOES do is help signal to me when I have eaten enough - that feeling of satiety that is supposed to keep us from stuffing our faces until we can't move. Without good nutrition and regular physical activity, you probably aren't going to lose any weight. But if you are restricting calories and don't want your body going into "starvation mode," where it hoards calories and causes your weight loss to plateau, this is an excellent supplement in my opinion. My portion sizes are much smaller now - not because I am restricting myself, but because I am simply more aware that I'm not hungry anymore.

Not only that, but anytime I've had a question (of which I have had many!), I get an answer usually the same day from someone who is friendly and seems to care that I am giving them my business.

I really like this company a lot - thank goodness and I also really like their products!

One BioTrust product did not work for me

I purchased BioTrust product called Belly Trim XP back in October of 2016. I took it as directed and did not get results for fat loss around my waist. I am not a fat pig but have the usual 60-year-old, 3-inch fat around my waist. I am not saying it's a bad product, but it did not work for me. I will return the balance of product I purchased.

Great company, great products, phenomenal support.

I was turned onto BioTrust by a cousin of mine who is a sports science/fitness/sports trainer for Rollins College here in Florida. He told me about a few of their products which he really liked. BCAA Matrix and the Low Carb Protein Powder. I went ahead and tried both, love them. What's best is that you can be confident that the ingredients in these products are the best, period. For those of you who buy your protein, BCAA's, fish oils, etc from the large chain shops (like I used to do) be sure you know what you are getting, I bet you'll be surprised if you really look into it. With BioTrust, you don't need to worry about that.

I am such a huge fan of BioTrust products, but one of the main reasons I am such a loyal customer is because of the online support/forums. These guys know their stuff. They will answer every question you have about the products, your personal nutrition, workout regiments, and just general fitness questions/concerns you may have (and attach articles and the science behind it to back it up).

I'm not sure where the people in some of the negative reviews are coming from, or what their agenda is but these guys have never steered me wrong. The only time I ever had to 'return' something was because it didn't agree with my stomach not because the product didn't work. I made one call to customer service and switched it out for a bottle of BCAA Matrix. No up charge or anything and they actually let me keep the bottle of the other product to give to someone else to try. The gentleman who mentioned that the protein bars "were the worst he's ever had" that's probably b/c he usually buys the bars that are loaded with sugar and other 'crap' to make them taste like a candy bar. Its a protein bar, not a candy bar, and honestly, they are pretty damn good. The emails they send out are very informative and will actually educate you on a lot of different topics. Do they try and sell their products, of course, they are a business but 1) they do not spam you, only a few emails here and there and i learn something new from every single email, and 2) I guarantee once you try a few of the products and take advantage of the knowledge on the online forums, you'll understand why this company and the products sell themselves. A plus company.

I played baseball for the University of Florida and was around some very knowledgeable fitness and nutrition staff while I was there...these BioTrust guys have given me so much more accurate information than I have ever received in my life. It has truly changed the way I go about my nutrition and fitness needs. Just try it.

Side note: The oatmeal raisin protein cookies are amazing.

An Honest Review from My Heart

As an extremely satisfied customer of BioTrust, I would like to touch on a few points. First of all, BioTrust's Customer Service is one of the best I've ever had the pleasure to do business with. I have ordered product both online and through their 1-800 support number, and have gotten exactly what I have wanted without any issues. I happen to enjoy speaking with the Customer Service representatives, as they are all very knowledgeable about the products and are consistently helpful when I speak with them directly.

Secondly, BioTrust's products are without a doubt, very helpful to me during my quest to lose 138 pounds. I have lost a total of 71 pounds in 7 months' time with the help of LeptiBurn, IC-5, AbsorbMax, Pro-X10, and BioTrust Low Carb protein powder. I have recently added BioTrust's OmegaDessert Fish Oil supplement and look forward to continued weight loss success. I believe wholeheartedly in the all natural, healthy BioTrust supplements, and highly encourage my friends and family to use them also. I have used two of BioTrust's approved weight loss plans, the 3 Week Diet and the One Day Diet, in helping me to achieve my substantial weight loss.
