Just another bad excuse for a skillet.

By Allen, St. Cloud, FL, Verified Reviewer

Got caught up in the commercials for this skillet. With an old lady using it, it seemed it would actually last. The first day got a scratch that chipped the coating, which according to the commercial that had a fork and egg beater running on the surface, said it would withstand that type of work. Strike one.

Next day cooked steak for dinner. During clean up the steak juices where stuck to the pan. Not an easy clean up like the commercial showed. Strike two.

The best thing is the the lifetime guarantee which has you mailing the skillet with $9.99 for processing fee. Then, it's up to their discretion to replace or re-coat. $30 at Bed Bath and Beyond. If I have these problems already than I will be paying for another skillet in no time at all. Thank you for proving that these info commercials are just a scam. Back to just buying a cheap skillet. Enjoy that $30.

Worst Ever Purchase

By Michael Piephoff, Washington, Verified Reviewer

Bought four pans. All four will not cook evenly. 6 inch circle in the middle of all the pans that cooks much hotter than the rest of the pan. What a giant waste of money. I am so disappointed! It should be a crime to represent these in the info commercials like they do. Shame on the celebrity chef that touts these crummy pans. I would pass on these if you are contemplating buying them. I would return them but I just don't have the energy to deal with it.

Not as advertised!

By Dawn Dobbs, Wisconsin, Verified Reviewer

I have owned these pans for over 6 months now and I really wanted to love them. Unfortunately I DON'T. They worked great at first, now they are NOT non-stick.

While they "recommend" using nonmetal utensils, why show them using metal and even digging at them with a fork? The coating seems to "weaken" over time and scratches and is no longer non-stick. I can not recommend these pans!

Given that you have to pay for shipping both ways, they are NOT worth it! If they really believed in their pans, THEY would foot the cost for shipping, the reason they don't is because their pans don't work as advertised and they can't afford the to pay for shipping for all the pans I suspect they have had to replace and most people just aren't willing to pay the shipping fees and just give up.

I use these pans but have to use butter or coconut oil to make them "non-stick". Last night I was frying bacon and used tongs (yes metal), just to turn it, and tiny patches of the coating have come off, and the scratches are bad.

I was quite shocked these scratches appeared in on cooking session! That's why I say the coating seems to have weakened or gotten soft.

Wonderful Pan!

By Terry, Myrtle Point, Oregon, Verified Reviewer

I received this pan very quickly through UPS. I was a little disappointed because it wasn't as big as it seemed on TV, but it is a lot better than the other "non-stick" pans we have purchased. It has a really slick coating on it and so far I haven't had to use oil if I don't want to and nothing has stuck to the surface. I deep fried some teriyaki chicken wings that usually make a very sticky, yucky residue on the pan and I have to soak it forever to get it off. However, on this pan, there was no sticking at all! Now I can make these wings anytime I want to. I also baked a whole chicken in the oven in this pan and it came out beautifully. I have no complaints whatsoever about this pan. It's a breeze to clean and very versatile. I love it.

Left a Bitter Taste in my Mouth - So Upsetting

By Beverly, Herndon, Virginia, Verified Reviewer

It is still in the box sitting at my front door - getting returned to sender.

I saw this cookware on television and was excited about getting it for all the reasons mentioned. I called and that was when things went sour. Gave them all my financial information and was hoping to complete order and get a confirmation number. No, ten minutes later, other special deals were being offered and every time my response was the same - NO! But it continued. I hung up without getting a confirmation number and called customer service to cancel my order. The person told me I had to wait for 24 hours. I did and called back. He said he had no record of my order. Yet, my card was charged. I talked with a supervisor and he promised he would cancel my order. But it was sent. I am sending it back.

To this company I say, forget my name, number and email. I will NEVER order from you again. Taking my business back to QVC and HSN, the companies I can trust.

Good for one month only

By Paul Wong, Brooklyn, NY, Verified Reviewer

I got this Copper Chef Pan a month ago. I am disappointed as there a imperfection like minor scratches and little dab here and there. Wish the quality control is better. Other than that, I initially loved it as my food doesn't stick but after into my third week, food started to stick and became difficult to remove. As a result, stains started to appear. The worst is the bottom copper edges. There are some small peeling and scratch marks around its edges. There are also fire burn marks. The steel base holds well though. They should make the bottom scratch proof since frying food will cause a lot of friction at the base.

The good thing that it heats up quickly and very light. Apart from that, I wish the non stick feature lasted longer.

For almost $80 a piece, I have better options out there.

Crap

By Kristine , Verified Reviewer

I've used the Copper Chef pan about 5 times. I noticed that the coating is beginning to flake and food sticking. I'm also seeing two scratches yet I have never used metal in the pan. I've used other similar pans but they were wonderful!

Poorest customer service I've ever seen

By Randy Seals, Apple River, IL, Verified Reviewer

I placed an order and 24 hours later canceled it in order to get the 12 piece package. After placing the second order thought it was all good. Today I found the funds for both orders were taken from my account. I checked the order status on their website to find both orders were canceled. I called and was told they were 6 weeks behind on orders, so they canceled the second order without asking me if I would be willing to wait. Their resolution was to buy it, or another brand, somewhere else? I will, and never deal with this company again.

Inferior product and worse customer service.

By Kathy, California, Verified Reviewer

The product was not non stick. I requested a refund within the 60 day period, and received no response. Made second attempt one week later - no response. I called customer service, who refused a refund. I have documentation of requests for return and refund, but they would not allow me to provide this and would not let me speak to a supervisor to discuss a reasonable solution to my dispute.

Copper Chef cheats customers.

By George, Ontario, Verified Reviewer

I called hotline before I made the order from buycopperchef.ca, they confirmed it's a Canadian website and if your address is in Canada the price shows in Canadian dollar. But after I placed the order, it showed me in US dollars.

I called customer service, they said to deal with this after I received the item. After I got it I called back, they told me to send the item back and pay for shipping.

Why do you create ".ca" website and don't say it's in US dollars?
