Monthly re-occurring SCAM

My daughter was lured into a monthly re-occurring $39.90 membership via an Instagram ad. "Free Sample" just pay shipping costs of $4.95 resulted in hidden language of a monthly drop shipment. When you go to cancel it, there are no phone numbers, only a support email address. Better Business Bureau has a phone number listed, however, when you call it, it re-directs you to the support email address, shady!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Curology really works!

I found Curology because I was experiencing the worst cystic acne I've ever had. As an adult, it was super embarrassing to have to go to work with big inflamed pimples all over my face, not to mention it was painful! The more I tried to cover the breakouts up the more obvious and irritated they became. I had spent $250+ on face creams, washes, spot treatments, masks, etc., and nothing worked.

Then I found Curology, just by chance, and it literally saved my skin. The provider I am assigned is very responsive and always answers all my questions. The shipping was quick, from the time I signed up to the time I had the bottle in my hand it was less than one week. I noticed a difference within about seven days, I had no new pimples, and the existing ones were starting to shrink.

I still have a few scars left that I am hoping will fade with time, but I haven't had a new breakout since starting Curology. It's the best!

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Too soon to tell

I got my first trial tube within a week of signing up, and I was happy about that. I was made to understand the tube was to last a month, let's just say pushing it to three weeks will be a miracle. Mine lasted two weeks exactly, despite trying to use an amount small enough. I hate the packaging because you can't open the tube which means if there is any product left at the bottom, you will never be able to get to it.

In the two weeks of trying it, I didn't see any changes, I am still getting painful pimples. I'm going to wait to see what the next tube looks like. If it's the same size as the trial, I shall swiftly revert to Proactiv. To each their own though. You go ahead and try it for yourself.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Never bought from

I have never bought from this company. I checked my bank balance and I saw Curology as deducting $4.95 out of my account. I emailed them to ask who they are and what they sell. No response still. I’m beyond irritated.

Ruined my skin

The medicine from Curology completely destroyed my skin. I do not have sensitive skin and have never had a problem or reaction to any acne medication or wash in the past. I was so hopeful for this to work, but it only made things significantly worse. My skin started to peel and bleed at even the slightest scratch (like if I had an itch on my face). For weeks, I had scabs that were trying to heal but couldn’t because they so easily peeled off and would start to bleed again. I kept using the first round of medication for 7 weeks. They insisted that I needed to keep trying for at least 6 weeks before they would prescribe something new, despite me sending them photos of my face red and bleeding. They finally told me to stop the medication, allow some time, and start a new mixture. I tried this for a few more weeks and the exact same thing happened. My face started peeling, bleeding, scabbing, and eventually scarring.

It has been about 5 weeks since I stopped that second round and my face is finally returning to, sort of, what it was like before Curology and weirdly I am so thankful for that. My skin isn’t great or clear of acne (which is the whole reason I tried Curology), but I’ll take this any day over what Curology did to my skin.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Worst experience ever!

I wish I would have read these reviews because this is exactly what happened to me! The formula didn’t work, I canceled my membership, was still charged, sent several emails (when I finally labeled one urgent it was answered almost five days after the initial email). They say they refund within the first 90 days if you’re not happy, this is a lie. I literally had to go as far as calling my credit card company and informing them of what happened. Now, my bank has blocked all charges from this terrible company. And I emailed that I was doing so in which I was told they would issue a refund only this once. Which is completely against what their 90-day satisfaction policy is. To add to the financial irritation, my skin literally broke out in an allergic reaction and we are talking hives. I don’t typically have sensitive skin, but it felt like I was pouring a chemical fire on my face. I am glad I stopped using it sooner rather than later!

Terrible experience!

I had a terrible customer service experience with Arianne. Beware, when you sign up for a Curology subscription, they are basically scammers.

I signed up for the free trial kit, which didn't react well with my skin, so I requested a formula change. I emailed the support team asking how payment would go and how I would proceed with getting another trial kit. Arianne replied back with a generic response that my "shipment is set to process" and my "new formula will apply to this shipment." Which DIDN'T ADDRESS ANY of my concerns!

I then see a $40 charge on my credit card bill. They charged me for a full-size bottle when I simply requested for a trial-sized formula change. I tried to reach out to Arianne to get a refund or work something out, but she stopped replying.

Bottom line...the concept of Curology has potential, but they have to stop taking advantage of their customers. We need to find a formula that WORKS for us BEFORE we commit to the $40 full-size bottle! So disappointing...

Curology made my skin go from bad to worse

My skin got SIGNIFICANTLY worse. I had minor acne when I started Curology, by the time I canceled almost 5 months on Curology, my acne was so severe I’m now on Accutane to correct the damage Curology did to my skin. I basically spent $40 dollars a month to damage my skin.

I understand that this product probably has worked for others, but won’t work for everyone. The frustrating thing was I saw zero improvement, so I asked to change my prescription, my dermatologist spent most of her time trying to convince me that it was every other product causing this outbreak but Curology. When I explained to her that nothing else in my routine had changed other than Curology she finally said OK, we'll we can try something else I guess, but just make sure you’re looking at your other products. I understand she works for Curology, but any legitimate dermatologist would clearly see you right away that this product was the problem and tell me to get off of it. It’s not my other products and it’s NOT a FIVE MONTH purging period. I will NOT be recommending Curology to anyone I know.

Disappointed

SCAM. Buyer beware. I don't understand how his company is getting away selling this product. First things first, I have to admit, the actual product that was formulated for me personally worked. I liked it. However, when I did my online questioner, consulted with their NP, I was ready for my trial. I paid the shipping. Received my trial within a few days. Three weeks later I received a box with my personalized bottle, a cleanser, and a moisturizer. I was shocked as I NEVER EVER ordered this package. Never received an email either that this was shipping and they charged my credit card $59.90.

I emailed and they said that "I" signed up for this monthly package. Really? I told them that I wanted to return the package and they said "due to FDA regulations" that they cannot accept returns. I understand that they can't accept my personal bottle, but the moisturizer and cleanser -c'mon! That's like me going into my local drug store and purchasing a moisturizer to find out it didn't work. I am 100% positive they would return it. I never signed up for this subscription...why would I do this without trying their product first? They (Curology) automatically signed me up for this. According to other reviews, this is what they do. I'm not the only one this happened to. Of course, there is no number to all for the business. I emailed them and asked them to call me. They said they would, but never initially gave me a time. The next day I received a call from "no caller ID". Well, I didn't answer. So I had to email again for them to tell that they will call me 2 days later. Received a call 2 days later and the Curology rep kept telling me that "I" signed up for this. She sounded like a robot. She then asked me if I wanted to cancel my subscription. I went online and canceled and made sure my card on file was no longer working.

Unreal. This company/product is advertised all over social media with YOUTUBERS promoting this. This company is 100% unethical and crooks. Again...think twice before having any kind of connection with this company.
