Dr. Marty Nature’s Blend

I received my 9 bags of Nature's Blend on Monday afternoon and did a mix of my dogs' current food 3-1, mixing the new food with some hot water for 3 minutes first. They ate it up. My nearly 9-year-old Scottish Terrier eats anything and everything and has never been picky. But itches and licks and scratches for no evident reason. My 7-month-old standard poodle can be finicky and even though she’s has been on an expensive no-grain kibble (for puppies), even adding a topper she would sometimes never finish her food. This is day two with a mix of 50/50 of their food with Nature's Blend and my poodle actually barks at me when it’s feeding time and I am not in the kitchen! It’s too early to see if the itching and scratching stops on my Scotty, bit both their stools have been firm and lots less! If I continue feeding half of their regular food and half of this, it will save me a ton and they will be getting a lot of the raw benefits. They will still get their apples and carrots when I feed the horses!

My 2 pugs seem to like the food, however, it's not organic and I only feed them organic foods. At these prices, it should be certified organic and furthermore, I can't stand the smell when having to smash it up in the hot water first thing in the morning. I believe the food is made in these hollow pellets to take up space in the bag and make it look like you are actually getting something for your money. What a gimmick! There is a new food on the market called Merrrick and it's supposed to be the next real deal and organic and available in pet stores. I can't recommend Dr. Marty's food to anyone who wants their dogs to live a long healthy life.

They don’t sell their product, they shove it down your throat. The system is designed to promote more and more bags at the checkout. If you buy 3 bags, it pops up that "make it six and you will pay less". However, your order would be 9 bags and you’ll be charged for 3 bags separately and 6 bags on top of those three.

THEY WON’T PAY FOR YOUR RETURN SHIPPING.

There are too many other companies with better product and customer service. I’m sorry to give Dr. Marty business!

My dog is a strong 110lb lab mix. Called Dr. Marty's and explained the cost per month would be $700 and thus, not practical. They suggested I include it as a supplement to his already highly regarded dry food. Great idea. There is no doubt it has improved his already great energy and health. So, I appreciate their understanding and advice. It’s working and annually it will be within my budget.

We got this 3 days ago and have introduced slowly as a '"topping" on regular food for our 3 mini schnauzers. They loved it, even my picky eater. However, my 14-year-old dog had very soft bowel movements and then diarrhea within an hour. This is a dog who has never had an accident in the house in her life and had 3 in one night. Tried it again and the same result. I will be returning. I'm sure it is a quality product but my senior dog cannot tolerate it.

Even though my dog, Annie, is suffering from debilitating health issues (cancer) and recently, blindness and inability to smell, I feel she is doing so much better since I started feeding her Dr. Marty Nature's Blend. Before starting her on the Dr. Marty food, she wouldn't eat and lost an extreme amount of weight. She now eats readily and has gained weight. Some people might think it's not fair to keep Annie alive, but she is so happy. She's on tramadol for her pain and since I don't see evidence of her suffering (which she was before I started her on the Dr. Marty food), I think she would want to stick around a while longer. Her vet had given up on her when she was losing so much weight. She's now even started to put on muscle weight.

We had been feeding our dog LOUIE a preservative-free supplement...then altering different meats each week. He first loved it, then began to turn his nose up? We read about Dr. Marty’s and decided to give it a try. We ordered 3 bags without commitment. Our dog has chowed each and every bowl down to licking the bowl! His coat looks healthier, his arthritis (although still there) is better! He has a lot more energy, and seems happy! We are now on regular shipments! This is an awesome food, so easy to prepare!

And we aren’t cooking for him anymore!

Sparky liked the food just fine but there were no visible improvements to his life. I fed him this diet for over half a year and don't feel it is worth the cost I was paying. Going back to his old brand.

My dog loves the food! She ignores any dry food I leave out as I am supplementing part of her feedings due to the cost of feeding a bigger dog. A full feeding makes 1 bag last only about a week and a half as she is approx 50 lbs. I did take advantage of the membership price but it's still an expensive option. I am only choosing to stay with it because she loves it and I do see some improvement in her. I also understand such high-quality food is expensive to produce so I understand you may not be able to offer it at an even lower price.

Great dog food, the best I have ever found. My Australian Kelpie is more alert, more in tune, and his coat has a beautiful shine. We don't use only Dr. Marty's but we cut it with other dog food otherwise we want to go broke, lol.

Given to us by a friend whose dog hated it, we tried it. Sorry but I cannot justify a house payment per month in dog food. I love my pets but there is no reason this food needs to be so cost-prohibitive. Would love to use it but with 2 big dogs I can’t do $1000+ a month for dog food. My family doesn’t spend that on human food.
